I was a developer for many years and recently left my job to build my own products. I'm great while I'm coding, but the moment I finish and need to promote, talk to people, market, or do anything outside development, I freeze...
I think I was "spoiled" years ago in 2000s, when something I built took off on its own. Ever since, part of me still expects that "just building" is enough. It isn't, and I know that, but I still avoid the uncomfortable parts. I even catch myself now looking for huge projects just so I can stay in the building phase and hide from everything else!
For those of you who were developers (or just inexperienced) before becoming entrepreneurs: how did you push through this? Did anything help, books, coaching, habits, mindset shifts? I'd really appreciate any guidance!
