I wanted to start working on helping wedding venues and providing them with services to:
After I started reading UNSCRIPTED again and just going through the concepts, I came across action faking, which I forgot about.
I wanted to ask you guys who are more in tune with the UNSCRIPTED tenets: was this building all the stuff action faking? My guy feeling tells me it was.
What I did differently today is I put in those 3 hours to actually make the emails and start emailing people so I can test what actually needs to be built and what's the value I can provide, and what people need.
In those emails I provided some free value by saying what's bad on their website, how they can improve it, and how it can make a difference in getting more clients.
The gist of this post is just to ask you guys: do you think this was action faking? My gut feeling tells me it is but I just want to verify this with somebody else in order to be completely sure.
I'm just starting out and trying to escape the scripted life. If you can please share your experiences when you were starting out and what mistakes you made that you wish you wouldn't, so I can avoid them too.
- improve their website, so they convert better
- improve their SEO, so they attract more customers
- remove friction points for the people who are looking at their websites
