Hi,
I am about to start my campaign with Google Ads for my service business (rather low ticket, $150 service). In brief, it helps to create videos for businesses that increase sales, build awareness and explain products/service.
My target is purely business owners.

With Google Ads I am paying around $2,55 per click which is quite a lot for me to start. Anyway I will give it a shot and see what the conversion rate will be.
I am interested in Facebook Ads for my business and after I've done research i see that CPC is lower and I can possibly target strictly business owners on FB which is good.

Has anyone any experience with running Google Ads / FB ads for your low ticket service business like in my case? which one is providing you better results?

To be frank, i do not need many sales cause 4 sales a week (16+ a month) gives me income freedom i need to start with my more serious business idea and pay for my bills + to have a freedom from my 9-5 job for now.

Your feedback is most welcome :)

What about testing YouTube ads as well? Seems to make sense if you’re selling a video service?

I understand your focus on cost-per-click, but your goal is a low enough cost-per-sale (as I’m sure you’re aware).

Who are your target business owners? Who already has them as their clients? Can you partner, JV, or otherwise create a win-win with (for example) web design or digital marketing agencies who have business owners as their clients?

What type of videos do you do? Can you link to any? Have you thought of giving video editing advice so folks can follow along AND see you as “The Video Guy”? Do you think any of the folks with YouTube progress threads might follow along and/or reach out to you?

What do people buy that indicates they’re *already* spending money on video? Is there software or stock video sites, or video freelancer sites where your market has congregated for you?

Personally, and you might find this ironic given I’m known as a Google Ads Guy, I’d start by helping folks where you see them struggling. Or maybe you won’t find that ironic when you consider how I help folks in the forum?

Btw... I have a short lived progress thread I’ll get round to updating later when I get back onto this project:
> EXECUTION - Growing a video ads agency

Thank you for replying.

Yes, i might be considering Youtube Ads as well. At the moment I want to test Google Ads and see what happens and then if I fail, I want to try a new way (Facebook Ads, Youtube Ads, cold emailing)

What I do is a very narrow thing, which is creating a Whiteboard Animation Video for business owners, I am not competent enough yet to do any other marketing service. Another things is, I don't consider myself as a "video guy" (which is very board topic). I create persuasive explanatory whiteboard video for business owners. Of course it includes music, professional voice and so on.

Yes certainly! there is a software, a bunch of freelancing websites however the competition is quite high.
I shoot for Google Ads as a first thing for a couple of reasons :
1. My target (business owners) search for a very specific thing in Google which brings them to my page, which may result in sales. They already know what they're up to (it could be a problem in case of Facebook Ads when i just put my offer in front of a someone who's most probably not interested and don't know about it), same when it comes to Youtube Ads.
2. Truth be told I am not a people guy to be calling people (how ridiculous it may sound, I am honest, not saying what you all want to hear and what's "right" ) . Google Ads is by far the best for me, cause it brings already qualified people to my page, and i don't have to put my nose out there (i do have a couple personal and business projects going on right know, i don't simply find an energy and time to be cold calling people and fighting for clients. I know, that's not what you'd want to hear.

I am sure that if i can bring as many qualified people to my website for as cheap as possible and focus on conversion and delivering awesome project, my short term goal(6 months , 15 sales a month) can be achieved.

Interesting. I was messing with whiteboard animation videos for a bit. I even bought Doodly and started this thread.

I agreed to start with Google Ads for paid media. However, there might be business owners in communities and Facebook groups that you could help with advice about videos. There's even a Facebook group for Doodly users and I see folks showcasing their videos and sometimes other people asking for help with theirs.

Maybe even a marketplace in here might help?

This thread could help too, especially if you link to a video or two and show people what you're doing. They may want a video or they may know someone else who might.

I suggest you change this thread into a progress thread and change the title from "Google Ads vs Facebook Ads For My Service Business" to something like "Growing my whiteboard animation video business". If you can't change the title then let me know what know what you want it changed to.

Can you link to an example video in this thread?

I thought about free traffic too (groups on Facebook, there is a couple fo them). I am going to set up a paid traffic and then trying to execute on free traffic about an hour a day.

Yes we can change it to "in progress"

I will show you video once I get my first client :)

The update is coming the next week or two once my paid traffic is running for a while.
