Wow, just finished and yet another paradigm shift for me. "Actions speaker louder than words" and the book will only be of value when I put it into practice. So I echo the words of @The Patriot Way

Fantastic work. Thank you MJ! Hope to do you proud and prove that I am not just another driveby action-faker or wantrepreneur.

Just finished reading the book last week. I can't extend in this one reply how much value is presented in it. All this value yet it is worth nothing unless one kicks into gear and starts ACTING. It truly has been an eye opener and verification of a lot of life aspects I was subconsciously aware of. Thank you @MJ DeMarco, I have already recommended the book to all 2 of my close friends (one of which is my brother by blood). The book is engineered in a way that anybody with an ounce of interest can be related to. Without trying to be too much of a sucker, I admit that you are one brilliant son of a b and I sincerely thank you for investing your valuable time to project the scripted reality in such a brutal yet beautiful manner.

Just finished reading Unscripted this week. Needless to say it was an excellent book! I used to read a lot of 'conventional' financial advise - but I always felt there was something off, that their promised road to financial independence just didn't seem add up. But I couldn't explain it precisely, and I didn't know any other way.

Unscripted crystallized everything that I was feeling - explaining what was wrong with the conventional script and why. It was straightforward and it really opened up my eyes to how society works. It's also a great blueprint and really gives direction on how to achieve the financial independence of an unscripted life. I am very grateful for this book, Mr. DeMarco!

P.S. I have made notes and highlights throughout the book! Also, I have just started with a side project to make some $$ on the side to fund a proper Fastlane business!

I guess I should post in here too. Of course I have read the book too and needless to say I loved it!
I especially enjoyed the more detailed sections on creating a nice portfolio of dividend paying investments, etc.

Excellent book, MJ. ;)

I made a once through and was impressed with it enough to check out this forum. Haven't gotten around to reading TMF , but it seems that I'll have to in order to understand all of the acronyms everyone tosses around!

Just about everything was spot on in my previously existing paradigm or was enlightening. Some parts were perhaps a bit wordy, but all in all it was a pretty damn good book.

That said, while perhaps I'm being a little overly critical, the economics section (about value and money) was not exactly accurate. Nothing screwed up enough to detract from the message, certainly, but inaccurate nonetheless. Scratch it up to nitpicking, I guess.

I own and have read both the Kindle and Audible versions. I haven't read a business book in years, but this show The Millionaire Fastlane showed up on a Google search, just like in the book, and I went straight over the Amazon, read the reviews and bought both books. Thanks MJ! Your writing is clear, entertaining, and rational. Now I need to prove its efficacy for myself.

I've listened the book last summer. I plan to repeat it next summer.
There were tons of epic content, but the one thing that stuck and I still clearly remember and use is "the value attribution system"

I actually read the book a few months ago, just didn't claim the badge. Figured it's about time. This book has so much details, it's impossible to grasp everything in just one read. But hey, if anyone else tries to write a book like The Unscripted , it's probably going to be jam-packed with details as well. The knowledge and wisdom shared throughout the book shows just how much time and effort MJ has put into writing it, and how much he has gone through to be able to write so objectively and concisely. Great book!

I think the message being conveyed is at times compelling, just presented in a way that seems a little extremist

Unfortunately the truth has become extremist. Nothing I said was extreme, other than facts that people would rather keep under the shroud of ignorance.

Great book and my favourite author.

Thanks!

Even better than MFL!

Thank you!

if you read this anyway:

The book is too U.S. based

Sorry but I had to write for my majority audience but the general concepts apply to any industrialized civilization.

Majority are scared to face the truth.

Yup, many folks are perfectly fine with wilful slavery, just as long as they get their Netflix and their weekend.

If my English level is not very good then I will understand the book?

Not sure on this.

For my opinion it's better than millionnaire fastlane

Thank you!

Read Unscripted 4 times now

Damn!

I still clearly remember and use is "the value attribution system"

Yes, IMO that section (and the luck section) is worth 100X the cost of the book.

I finished Unscripted last fall, and am on my second go-around at the moment. I'd try to describe my experience but I think I would run out of superlatives pretty quickly. Excellent, life-changing, paradigm-shifting, resonating, startling, etc. etc. I think I will give this "entrepreneurship" thing a try and work from my laptop on the beaches of Bali! Only kidding, of course.

Unscripted crystallized the ideas of TMF for me, and I was glad to see CENTS rebranded as CENTS - has a much better ring to it! As I read through Unscripted again, I am making an outline of the points that really hit home for me and that I felt provided the most value and day-to-day usefulness. Much of the information I had already fully bought into and was already on the same page, such as the TUNEF philosophy, my FTE, and especially the bit about how cattle (like me) are herded for economic purposes and for efficiency. However, I think I would benefit having chapter takeaways and certain bulleted lists (such as the 13 ways to find needs) on paper so that I can wake up and take 10 minutes every single day to get this stuff into my brain and establish the proper mindset before I head out into the world. If this interests anyone, would be glad to provide my word doc after I'm finished. I will likely do the same for TMF .

Fantastic work. Thank you MJ! Hope to do you proud and prove that I am not just another driveby action-faker or wantrepreneur.
I'd be interested in your summaries. Thx.

I have an MBA with concentrations in Finance and Entrepreneurship (waste of time and money). I have a huge and unhealthy addiction to self help books (85% waste of time). I stated that to say that I'm well-versed in the study of entrepreneurship and Unscripted is the best course on entrepreneurship that I've ever come across. Actually, it's more like a self-encased entrepreneurship curriculum.

From 2007 to 2015, my favorite book was The 4-Hour Workweek. Then in 2015, it became Zero to One. Now, by far, it's Unscripted .

I listened to both Unscripted and The Millionaire Fastlane . I've just started reading the Unscripted paperback.

Another awesome book MJ. About the only thing I disagree with is "Loving what you do" part. Nearly every mega rich person on the planet loved what they did before they became rich including Gates, Buffet, Ellison, Zuckerberg, etc... I think it's more a testament to your will power and many others who succeed that don't love what they do more than anything. Anyways, thanks for sharing your many valuable insights in Unscripted !
