Last week I found @Fox and his threads about web design. I already had a basic understanding of HTML and themes, but I went online and brushed up. I reached out to some family and friends and let them know I was starting a web design business, and needed 1 or 2 clients to build a free website for my portfolio. Within 24 hours I got in contact with a friend of my mom who runs a small teeth-whitening business. She wants to meet with me and have me build out her website.

I'm really excited, this is literally the first time I've freelanced a technical skill out before. It is for free, unfortunately, but that will change very soon. It's all about the long term plan, getting tangible results I can use to sell later on. Who knows, maybe if she likes the website she will offer to pay me a little bit.

Edit: Just got a text from my sister. She wants me to build an online portfolio for her digital art, so there's two websites! Now if anyone has theme suggestions please let me know! :) Thinking a wordpress theme might be better than HTML for my sisters website so she can easily upload herself, but idk.
