Mr. Beast is proof that @MJ DeMarco 's entire strategy of selling dollars for 99 cents will always work for marketing and building a company.

It's his entire shtick. Every single thing he does is just giving stuff away.

Why are you back in Canada? I thought you were in Mexico?

Short delay in making it full time, we will be back to mexico soon enough. In the mean time we were able to get our kids citizenship, and I just need to submit some papers for my PR.

Have I mentioned before how much the Canadian medical system sucks? My daughter has a bladder infection, she did a test on site that showed all the symptoms but it wasn't from a lab, so the results have to go to the lab before we can get antibiotics. Labs are all booked solid due to it being Canada...

We get the results A WEEK later and surprise surprise she needs antibiotics. I go get the prescription and go to a pharmacy. Turns out this is short all across Canada and they can't get it. Pharmacist shows me IN HER hand a different product that does the exact same thing, but nope I can't buy it, I have to go back to the doctor and get them to write it down on a piece of paper.

What an absolute joke.

This reminds me of a guy last year when I was in a pharmacy here who was in agony and wanted some eye pressure medication, but it was like 10pm and all the doctors were closed. He literally had a bottle of his old stuff that was empty, and his prescription that was expired. Nope, can't help him. They told him to go to emergency, which would require an old man who's eyes are in brutal pain to DRIVE there, and then wait 3-6 hours. Man. I'm missing mexico more and more

Ok so let me be clear, I’m exhausted and I’ve had too much sugar and it’s past midnight and I’m old. I need to be in bed. Instead I’m listening to Kak chat about random leadership + pillars + Ford letters. When I said it would be hilarious if he “destroyed someone emotionally” I was talking like I would to a friend.

Sometimes I’m the friend who encourages ppl to jump naked into the swimming pool or go sing karaoke at the stranger’s wedding. Lol.

Anyhoo.. when you’re with friends you’re not acting professional. You’re a mess. You’re silly. You make derogatory comments about the upstairs neighbors. In other words, you’re more real than you are when you’re in public.

So do I *really* want Kak to be mean on his show? No. I wanted some more vulnerability or passion. But possibly I should stick to Spanish soap operas for that.. lol.

I think your podcast was cool dude. You reminded me that I ought to listen to more leadership books. Good stuff. I’m going to go make coffee now..

One simple thing about stories: they are all about "one" moment of change, one "5 sec moment" with a stake.

Forget all those complex frameworks... Use this very simple one: "things were one way, something happened, things changed". That's it: (a) normal -> 5-sec moment -> new normal and (b) stake, something important to you.

Use that, and your stories will be much better.

Kyle goes on rants on lots of his shows. Mostly about how much he loves the government and thinks we all need more of it in our lives.

If there is one thing I have learned from knowing and listing to him, it is that he loves the government and is happy that it is so large and powerful. If not for the government we would all be rolling in mud and living in caves. @Kak understands this

It's funny you said this. Because in the last week I ran into a Mr Beast branded Nerf Gun. I was like, "really?" but I guess when you have millions of fans and a following, these types of partnerships were bound to happen.

And then I learned he has a Mr Beast branded burger chain. But apparently the burger chain is a "delivery only" restaurant and the burgers are made by Chili's, in Chili's kitchens. Or maybe it was Applebee's. One of those kinds of restaurants...



Go ahead and Google it, see how many are you in your town.

So apparently, being charitable and giving more and more money away can lead to other opportunities. I wouldn't want to go about the business this way, but I can't knock the guy for what he's accomplishing.

In Scottsdale, Red Robin makes the Mr. Beast burger. It's pretty good and one of my go to orders. In Vegas, not sure who's making it but it's not as good.

He also opened his first actual rest. Go find the youtube video on its opening. I think they sold 8000 burgers.

I personally would disagree with this meme. One of my favorite YouTubers, Jay Dyer, somehow managed to use his degree in Philosophy to actually achieve some success. Although I don't think anyone needs a philosophy degree, I've seen philosophy and anthropology YouTubers have been on the rise recently.

Yay, now we can have 17,000 new youtubers a year using their philosophy degree!

Some years ago I read the story of a man, who emigrated to Chile.
He bought a big piece of land in the mountains with a river on it.
He built a hexagonal house there.
And he built a custom made hydroelectric powerstation.

That powerstation was the reason why I read his report at that time.

Since than I dream of doing similar.
With what I know now, I would install lots of mining equipment and just let it earn millions for me.

Yay, now we can have 17,000 new youtubers a year using their philosophy degree!

I'm a young guy and I don't know much, but I've just heard older people say how the lack of philosophy would cause something like a Charles Darwin situation where a scientist ignores philosophy and ends up as a meter-reader and commits countless of fallacies in metascience. And because of Charles Darwin you end up with these people like Sv3rige or Liver King. Please correct me if I'm wrong, you're in this forum much longer than I am.

Very unpopular opinion but I think the world needs more good philosophers, and I'd personally hire one when my business grows bigger.
