I watched it last night. @wade1mil beat you in posting it, lol.

I now love the rearrangement of the commandments. CENTS makes it easier to remember and it... just make sense.

Was this a collaboration?

Really neat stuff, MJ. Would you consider doing another one, but for your 2nd book? This style of teaching definitely would appeal to the visual learners.

Yea, he simply asked me for a narration and I was happy to oblige. I enjoyed the first rendition which kinda covered the first 1/2 of TMF .

I love it! Good job, MJ. Much easier to remember that way.

Don't know why I didn't think of that before. I want a t-Shirt that says "Fight Mediocrity"! :p

Great anagram and video! I prefer the "cents" acronym. Btw... I too, would like a shirt with people holding the "We don't give a shit" banner :)

It seems like there is a lot of you could do with the word "cents" to help visualize morphing into the fastlane path, catchy statements like... How to turn cents into dollars, etc...

Bump.. this is seriously some of the best advice I've ever had in my life. Every day I hear about a friends new startup business, or look at a new product/service I see launched, or watch a pitch on shark tank, and feel like screaming CENTSSSS!!!! at them haha.
Same! I asked Daymond John yesterday if he'd read TMF and he said he'd heard of it! Haha so no...

That really helps make things a lot clearer! good job on this one, thanks MJ!

P.S At the end of the video when the angle zooms out and gives you a full few of the commandments, it would be really cool if people could have that in front of them while considering business ideas, to help them validate them more clearly. By the looks of it , some people don't fully grasp them on the forum, so a visual of them would probably help them a lot , depending on their learning techniques. Just an a quick thought anyway.

Thanks again.

Mj ... your beautiful pattern similar to a mind map or a entrepreneur's compass, can 'be completed by the following acronym: ...L U C K Labor Under Correct Knowledge. 'Cause if you apply it properly and with unstoppable methodologically so, you can' travel far on Your FASTLANE ... with a lot of CENTS!!!

Love it, really simple and well done.

FOR ME, (irrelevant) I still think I need to tweak this a bit in order to help it make more sense to my different brain wiring, (cuz I'm an idiot) but I get its purpose (cuz I'm not too much of an idiot).
I really like how it emphasizes independence and effective reasoning, cutting out the "wobbly" nonsensical pursuits from your windscreen. You could say it is a kind of windscreen wiper for your fastlane vehicle as it drives through the magical forest of bullsh*t.

I've been thinking on technique on my own though, and I do think cents is part of the ORIGIN of good technique, in that without cents your technical know how is muted by rambling and unnecessary complexity.

1) get rid of nonsense
2) establish a framework of controls and systems
3) identify the crucial refinements in delivering to a need
4) assure that there is no "leak" or easy way to replace what you have going on
5) make certain that delivery is not tied to your daily "hmm what do I feel like" measurements

Removing nonsense comes down to constantly "stripping things down" to bare bones, what works, what doesn't. So for example split testing, analytics, keeping in touch with customers and beta testing or staged rollouts.

To establish a framework you want to go out and get all the different examples and case studies of what you are heading into, and organise what parts are most relevant in order to prioritise the most high return actions and de-prioritise supplementary actions. You also want to objectively analyse what your biases are and how you are affecting the direction of ideas and have a plan to compensate for any typical weaknesses you are going to bring in.

You then want to establish the exact purpose of actions, and connect the dots to where said action results in a measurable change in how peoples needs are getting met. If you spend all your time on graphics... ok... but what need based concern is being addressed? Credibility? Accessibility? Ease of use? Clarity of message? If it is something tangible you should be able to put a goal down, and stop useless re-iteration for the sake of re-iteration.

Leaks tend to come from poorly structured value propositions, which tends to stem from "selling a belief" rather than selling a result. While eventually you will sell belief in your brand, initially all value has to be measurable and not all that easy to come by in its commercialised form. If all you are doing is selling "believe in me more" then seriously question what you are doing! So for example when writing a book, what are you delivering for the audience, what is most tangible, and WITHOUT you lending the book credibility will it stand on its own? Or is it a bunch of "please believe me" internal marketting jazz.

Then you want to check that you can really make good on promises, make deadlines, do what you say you will do (this is what I'm terrible at). Cuz if you always return back to indecision and procrastination your business is doomed to sink alongside your own motivations and doubts.

That is my own perspective on this, as far as my mind has to work regarding it (in actionable steps). After thinking about this it is crazy clear to me I am violating the time commandment in ALL my business pursuits  so I need to go and figure out some darn time hacks and ways to make delivery independent of my lazy @ss :inpain:.

Great post MJ, very helpful to the more bullheaded
