Starting my 2nd podcast, where I will be interviewing Software Entrepreneurs only this time around...

I've been lucky enough to land a marketer that has PERSONALLY done $70 million in sales and $100M+ raised for charity over the life of his career

(including Enterprise level apps for companies like McDonalds, Starbucks, etc)

Such an interesting guy, and he does things REALLY unconventionally... I learn something new in every conversation.

If you were had the opportunity to sit down with a guy who has done $70M in sales, what would you want to ask him?

Btw, to provide some context....

During my first go around with podcasts, my show was consistently ranked in the Top 50 or 100 Business podcasts in iTunes and I was lucky enough to have great conversations with people like Tom Bilyeu, the founder of Billion $ company Quest Nutrition and others of similar calibre.

Chose to wind it down for a number of reasons, but I'm getting back in the game.

This time I am limiting the scope to Software Entrepreneurs (Apps, SAAS, etc) because that is where I would like to gain Mastery, and it fits in well with my business.

...wish I could also interview my friend I mentioned in the the other post, but he would never go for it

Btw, if any of you are successful software entrepreneurs of any kind, and would like to be share your story with a large audience, please reach out, whether public or private

I would ask him why he isn’t worth $100m.

Honestly... why is he calling himself the 70m guy?

Why is he touting the number 70m when that’s his top line?

He doesn't.

So I am not misrepresenting his character, which is pretty reserved & humble...

I was using it for a catchy headline bc I know the stat, and think it is an accomplishment. Is it not?

Didn't think it would offend people, but my apologies if it did.

That's on me, not him.

A couple of questions (thought i'd mention a couple in case some probably suck):

1. What shifts (mental or execution) had to take place for him to make the big jumps in sales (0-$1M... 1-$10M... and so forth). Along these lines, what are some methods he scaled his sales/marketing efforts?

2. As you made large jumps in sales revenue, what are some some things he didn't expect, and how did he and handle those situations.

3. How does one break into the enterprise space as a smaller player (in regards to if he had a product that could help enterprise players)

4. Where does he see the next wave of opportunity in regards to how consumers interact with brands/companies.

5. What has been the biggest marketing shift in the last couple of years in how brands communicate to their audience and why.

6. How does he see consumer marketing changing in the next 1-3 years, and where does he see opportunities that are underutilized to connect with ones consumer base.

7. Examples of how he tackled problems unconventionally

8. Any underutilized growth methods that for some reason go unused?

So when you say he’s a marketer that’s done $70m in sales.. does that mean for his clients? Or he’s done $70m in revenue through his own business.

Ones impressive and one is meh.

This question is pretty boring but I would ask him what steps did he take to become a master marketer. :smile2:

(Like, how did you master your craft? Did you go to school, did you read books, did you have a mentor?)

Haha I think it’s been a decade since I’ve been offended. Those were just my questions!

What’s are the three mistakes you’ve made that taught you the most (then ask the lessons)

What’s one unusual metrics they uses to gage if marketing will be successful ?

What’s the best investment they’ve ever made (not related to the markets or portfolio) ?

Who do they the aspire to be like ?
