I was about to open a new thread asking for feedback for an idea, but this one is probably more appropriate.

The idea: A marketplace/ community for small/ medium businesses to collaborate in their SEO.

My perception is that many small businesses have little to no budget/ time for SEO and they either have no blogs or they're pretty much abandoned. However, many of them still have a decent Domain Authority.

On the other hand there are plenty of smaller companies / bloggers who would be willing to write content for free (guest post) in order to get a backlink from some of those businesses. Also, in order to get some backlins the outreach to hundreds of other bloggers can be a pain in the a$$.

To me it sounds like a win win for both parties. I'm no business owner nor an expert on SEO so my idea might be stupid, but please tell me why it wouldn't work.

What kind of additives do they need to add to Paper Straws to get them stiff?

They don’t seem very healthy. I’d much rather use a metal straw.
Maybe put some Viagra in the mix when making the straws? :wideyed:

Mostly marketed to race teams but could be for the serious car enthusiast

3D scanner to create a computer model of a vehicle then using CFD program analyze the aerodynamics and suggest modifications to be made. Could take it one step further and 3D print a model for a small scale wind tunnel test.

This does sound like a win win.

One thing you'd have to be careful of is differentiating it from a PBN (private blog network) which is a gray hat technique of getting backlinks. My understanding is that if Google thinks you're participating in a PBN, they can essentially assign you a domain authority of 0.

If you do something like this, I'd do some research into what is (and isn't) considered by Google to be "gaming the system" to get backlinks.

Since your service would be presumably out in the open and appearing in search results, it wouldn't take Google long to figure out who all your clients were and de-rank them if it considered any part of your service to be against their terms.

Commandment of control. Anything in the SEO field is utterly dependent on Google. Google holds all the cards. They can change the rules whenever they want. And they do.

You would not believe how nit-picky some of the low budget racers are. Low budget as in all the way down to a $2500 dirt track front wheel drive car. All aspects of racing might want something like this. The year my guy won the national championship, we were racing against local (and national) racers that spent all kinds of cash on several engine dyno's during the year, high priced parts.... we got the 1 engine dyno'ed in February and winged it until October. lol That year my joke was..... slide it in to the corner, close your eyes and gas it cuz that's our only hope.... I guess it worked. lol I bet the car builders would go for something like this. Lots of them just like to tinker....
