The first purchase is a test.

A buyer is someone who's bought from you once.

A customer is someone who has a custom of buying from you (aka "a repeat buyer").

The most important formula in business is R + R = Profit

Repeat Business + Referrals = Profit

Both come when you pass the test.

The first purchase is a test (both ways!).

Will you pass the test?

Will *they* pass the test?

Will you pass the test?

Eventually,

Will they pass the test?

Eventually

I think the real test is to stick with it until it does pass both tests. If the product is not matching the vision you have for the future, you might have to pivot or scrap what you're working on and move onto the next project. The more critical thing i think is the matter of ME passing the test. Sooner better than later.
