Ditto on what Jscott said.
You can have a checklist for everything and still get completely knocked down when you encounter stuff you didnt predict.

What are you good at doing naturally? What are your interests?
No matter what business you start, you'll need to learn to connect with people, build out systems to work without you, and will be sustainable longterm (CENTS)

Are you an artist?
Are you a teacher?
Are you good at connecting the dots?
Building relationships with people?

There are many businesses that will work for you, they need not be original or even interesting to be profitable (Think HVAC, or Selling Generators).

Find a business that can work around your wheelhouse of Interests, skills and knowledge, and leverage that to twist it into an actual business that works without you.

Just make sure to actually start the business. It's really easy to fall into an action faking cycle by preparing.

You bought the domain and registered social media accounts. Filed an LLC and bought business cards. Then before you know it 2 months went by and you haven't even made a sale.

The things you mentioned are just marketing channels. Well, a domain is a bit broader, but that depends on what's you're doing.

You need to provide something people want and are willing to pay for. Ways to marketing this highly depend on product/service your offering. For example, for software development company you won't being from an Instagram or Facebook account more than some Medium articles.

Think of how can you help, then who can you help and where do they hang out and why.

Type your name into google and amazon and make sure they don't autocorrect it. I spent $3k on a domain name and had to change it because nobody could find it.

For example, if you picked Greeny Pants, and everywhere you typed it into search it says, did you mean "green pants" then avoid it.
