IceCreamKid needs no qualifying from me but even when I was heavily calling I ran into the same numbers althought post-meeting or proposal flaking was a thing too.Don't worry my son. A lot of executives are on vacation right now so expect the numbers to drop.
Stats for the average rep on my team in June:
800 calls made
100 answered
75 calls completed
7 meetings booked
Don't believe the gurus who say they're booking 3-5 meetings a day from cold calling. They're either lying or booking meetings with unqualified prospects with no budget and no desire to actually buy.
Qualifying is what separates the killers from those spinning their wheels and ultimately burning out.
Qualify, qualify, qualify.
Aim for 20-30% close rate. If you're closing 100% of your pipeline it's a red flag.
...part of the reason I dread going back to cold calling, but I'll do it if I have to.
