Hey guys,

I am trying to organise a online poker night with friends.

Zoom video chat and some type of software to play texas holdem on.

Easy right?

Don't be so sure.....

Been up for over 2 hours trying to find some type of software capable of doing this and havent found one.

Plenty of online casinos etc but no software made to be played with just your mates?

Crazzzy.

Anyone got any potential solutions?

Definantly a business idea here, but regardless.

SOMEONE HELP US LOL

I dunno how to help you. But if you organized some cool ppl to make something I bet you’d have a cool product on your hands.

I do have an alternative though. Because of my brother I’m now signed up to play a One Shot in D&D. How this happened I’m not entirely sure... it did involve chocolate and alcohol though. Rofl

can anyone create this software for me?

Or any tech knowledgeable person?

Could someone like me a complete moron create one in a day that would work for a few people to play?

I've also had this trouble when trying to play with friends over the last few weeks.

First we played an app called "Pokerrrrr 2" , which worked well the first time.

Second time we tried to play, the app crashed or wouldn't let us in (think they couldn't handle the amount of traffic they were getting).

So after an hour research, we found an app called PokerBros that worked well for us.

The app isn't made for just friends, but you can create your own club and invite players to it and have a private game.

Then supplement with Zoom :) (app for game, Zoom for interaction)

Definitely think there is a business opportunity here for a zoom + friends poker integration in one.

I thought I saw ads in FB of apps that tried to do this..my friends tried them and said they sucked.

You can still play on Poker Stars using play money, a mate had a game the other night and I'm playing tonight with a few mates, just logged into the app then and there's no issues.

@Timmy C Home game feature isn't available on a mobile for Poker Stars, they'll have to log in via a desktop/laptop.

You know online poker is illegal in Australia right?

It's illegal for websites more than it is for individuals.

The government isn't going to break down your door for playing a bit of low stakes.

Kinda of a side note here, but I was a member of a private poker club back in Indianapolis. Paid membership dues, had to show membership card in order to enter. could not join unless someone invited you, paid dealers, professional tables and space. Very nice place to play.

We believed we were legal because of a loophole in local law. I believed it because there were several police officers that would play. Usually in uniform.

I was a member for about 4 years and played about 4 nights per weeks. Made a lot of money there.

One night I was on my way to play but was pretty sick and getting worse. I turned around and came back home . The next morning on the news I saw the place was raided.

Whew! Dodged one there.

We figured it out!

My cop mate is currently calling his police station to pick up and drop him off smokes, because he wants to keep the social distancing going strong.

With zoom & an app called easy poker with zoom as a backup.

Both run of the cloud so i play them off each other as a backup.

ID pay to distribute winnings.

Bandicam to screen record if anyone thinks someone did some funny business and we can view the recording.

We have better security than crown casino in here.

Allen “cough cough I was ill” Crawley. He didn’t call the cops, honest.

Our local poker club is quite dingy. People just give their name when they sign in. Everyone did a double take when I said my name. It’s such a shame I’m crap and can’t live up to my namesake. We even look a bit alike with dark hair and receding hairlines.

I've gone through so much software the past couple of days I'm not going to bother to check as I finally found a way to make it work lol.

I found the Facebook ones I looked at sucked so bad, but to be fair so did 99% of everything else I looked at using.

Had our game last night as well, poker stars with everyone on zoom for banter and chit chat. Good Friday used to be one of our big party days when we were younger, was nice to get online and see everyone while maintaining social distancing.

What’s with all the security @Timmy C, don’t you and your mates trust each other:hilarious: We didn’t bother worrying about cheating, none of us are smart enough, getting money out of everyone’s the challenge haha
