HI everyone. I am in need of some feedback.
I am currently selling on amazon and ebay and they are killing me with their percentages . But it's the only place I am making some money.

I am having a very difficult time getting people to buy from my website.

I am roughly spending 500 a month on adverwords and people are coming to my site but nothing is converting to a sale.

To all the ecommerce people on here can you please take a minute and look at my site and show me what I need to improve on.

I am getting ready to send out a mass mailing with addresses I have spend months collecting to a targeted customer .

I am just nervous it will be wasted

I have come along away and I want to go further.

Thanks everyone.

I have not looked at your site yet. Are your ads going straight to the home page, collections page or product detail pages? Are you targeting "ready to buy" keywords?

Maybe @Andy Black can provide more guidance on your actual Adwords campaigns.

All the same things @AllenCrawley said.

I went to the site. the first thing I notice is this huge floating coupon to the side.
Then a pop-up to contact us pops up that's a bit annoying, also the close button is black and can't be seen based on the background of the popup box.

Also you offer so many different things on your homepage. I thought it was a e-commerce site, but it doesn't flow like one. Then I got to the bottom and said a service call.

If someone clicks on an ad and goes to your homepage, they will likely be confused.
If I clicked for e-commerce, I'd see that other stuff and hit back.
I I clicked for a service, I'd see the e-commerce stuff and hit back.
If I clicked for pump rebuilding, I doubt I'd make it to the pump rebuilding before I hit back.

Your business is also called Empire Lube Repair, I'd be confused about what exactly you do.

I clicked over. First impression is 'I have no idea what they do and they don't value their service because every word I see is about cutting their price'.

Then an unclosable popup comes up...... looked like some cool pics might be below it, but I'm out of here......

yes i agree with ZCP.

when people look at the website, they should be able to say in 3 seconds :

what is it about ?

what 's in it for me ?

in a few seconds, not 10 minutes scrolling up and down.

As an entrepeneur, you should be able to describe your average client, i mean You MUST Know your customer : their needs, their problems.

The site took 15 seconds to load. That's a huge problem. Fix it.

Second: the site is confusing. I don't know what you sell. I should be able to tell what you sell as soon as the site loads.

Third: there's a popup that I cannot close. Fix that, too.

Fourth: what page are you sending your ad clicks to? Sales don't happen if the page that loads doesn't deliver on the promise made in the ad.

I really don't understand why you would spend $500/month on ads to a broken website.

As soon as I opened the website a huge 'Contact Us' popup appeared and I couldn't figure out to close it within 5 seconds so I gave up.

1 - Impossible to close pop-up
2 - "Found it for less? We'll beat it by 5% *excludes Amazon and eBay" - So I can get exactly the same stuff on Amazon or eBay for less then - goes to Amazon and eBay

these are awesome suggestions and are being delt with swiftly. its funny how i can proof read and look at things so many times and miss the obvious issues. I appreciate the feedback.

I don't know how feasible this would be for you but... It does't feel like a site I would buy things on. It appears more as an informational website. So, I would get any of the popular free themes from Wix or Squarespace and pop up a new ecommerce site and just transfer your domain over. It may take just 4-5 hours and cost about $50/mo. but I'd image it would already have a large increase in conversions purely from design differences.

Why should someone trust your site? I always use my wife as a filter. She won't buy off of a site that:

1) She isn't familiar with
2) Doesn't trust at first glance

I would consider building trust elements into the site more prominently. Can you get a video testimonial from a happy customer? Are there associations that relate to this industry you can join and post their seal?

Food for thought.

Someone looking for lubrication equipment is not looking for a pump rebuilding service.

Someone looking for pump rebuilding is not looking for an install.

Someone looking for an install is not looking for local service repairs.

You're thinking about what YOU do and what YOU are selling.

You're thinking about what YOU want.

You're not thinking about what the problem your website visitor has, and what THEY want.

Have you read the thread I linked to in this post?

when some types pump rebuilding my rebuilding page comes up.
when some one types a specific type of lube equipment peice i sell the ad will bring them to that peice of equipment.

either way does my website have to show case all that i do?

Am i missing the point here. I am still learning . I am a mechanic with a dream accompanied by drive and perseverance. thank you for taking the time to help

No.

Sell people what they want to buy.

On the page you send them to via the ad (aka "the landing page"), just sell them what they want to buy.

Here's a thread that might help you:

The most important thing to fix is your marketing.

The website, colours , shape, all this technical stuff come after your strategy.

Marketing guru and legend Jay Abraham says that if your strategy is right, everything else can be mediocre. You can still survive as an entrepreneur.

On the crontrary, if your strategy is wrong , no website or technical stuff can help you because customers won't pay attention to you anyway.

This is so important to have the right strategy.

business is war : the goal is getting the customer to send you money, thanks to the right strategy.
