So as of current I'm in highschool and I've just had my Entrepreneurship Day for the year and although the main goal was to make money, ny real reason was more serious.
Now we've been notified bout this event for 2 weeks(I only thought of my half-baked idea for 5 minutes) and me and my 2 friends, who we'll call Jacob and Mathew, were in the same homeroom so we decided to host a Fifa Tournament at School.
Although there was a SURPLUS of things I could've done(Sell : Jewelleries, Cologne, Food
,Clothes) I chose entertainment.(Another unrelated group had the same Idea therefore this doesn't abide by the CENTS framework.)
I dont play any Fifa so I was on Accounting duty, I'm the best at Maths so I was the best fit for the job. Day starts with technical problems then a venue change which ate at our 45 minutes of Selling. I had a side hustle of seeling popcorn while people played and watched(I was terrible at cooking and ultimately burnt the popcorn.)
Break ended earlier than expected, people didnt get to play, they needed refunds, my pop wasn't selling. It could not have went worse.
End of the day we counted up the money: R370($20) we were getting to distribution when I realized that they counted my money that I used as a change box as pure profit. There were disputes about how it should be handled but ultimately I got my investment back and got a little compensation.
So now you must be wondering what my main objective was?
Its to gauge if I should go into business with these monkeys I've grown accustomed to. And honestly I have comfirmed that I will not do further business with them, I rather have friends and business separate. (We were brainstorming a recycling corporation to start.)
Maybe uts cause I had a bais going into this but I've confirmed that I must do this alone.
What partnership-friendship experiences have you had?
Side note- another friend of mine sold perfumes(y didnt I think of that?!?) and made R+1000($62) profit.
