I keep reading TMF and I cry at every preconception that was implanted in me by a slowlaner culture but that I can now see clearly, thanks to @MJ DeMarco. I’m revolutionizing my entire life through the concepts hidden within the folds of the book’s sentences. With every line, I ask myself: “What was DeMarco thinking when he wrote this?” It’s crazy, I know, to think I could ever answer that. But I do it anyway, because it helps me break out of my mental comfort zone decoding everything I can in that moment, with the tools I have right then.
Today I read that before writing TMF, MJ read six books on how to write a book. And from that, I extracted a powerful new belief:
“Every time you want to solve a problem, remember you’re only six books away from its solution.” It’s incredible. I think this will become my lifestyle from now on.
The book I read the one about the solution while I’m still living through the problem, allows me to immediately lay down multiple action plans. And that’s what helps me progress on the Fastlane, constantly pushing through the Redline.
