Okay, I know they say failure is part of life but what about thinking someone was honest and a good person? Then they completely railroad you like none other to the point where you are homeless, broke, with no ID, or anything.
3 weeks ago, I was making decent money. Nothing to gawk at. I thought my girlfriend and I were doing good, working things out, etc.
On Friday, my ex said she wanted to go to the bar so her and I went to the bar, she said she was going to circle the block to get a parking spot. She never came back, my phone was disconnected, my bank card discontinued, and when I went back to the apartment all my stuff was outside with a note. She basically didn't want to be with me anymore.
Now, I am a pretty optimistic person but with a lot of drama it has left me little room to think optimistically.
I thought I had a lot of friends who would actually care and want to help me but that hasn't been the case. One person helped me through but they are a few thousand miles away. Sent me Western Union. It was quite humbling, paid for my food.
Now this isn't a "oh woe is me" post. Something I was thinking about from the book I recently read was that this is my time to really rise above all the challenges that are in front of me right now. I may not have a lot but I have my health, my computer, my humor and my ability to think. That alone is priceless and can't be replaced.
I have been looking around the internet to see what I can do to generate income in a matter of days. My main focus is to collect enough cash to put up for a room for awhile so that I can get my ID mailed to wherever I am staying, then I plan on rebuilding in the sense of where my cash flow.
Now don't get me wrong, I am not anywhere near the green zone but in the red zone.
Some things I feel appropriate to say as far as advice.
Just because a bad apple came along and you feel like you have no options, don't throw the entire basket away.
Never give up
Just because you met someone who wasn't super nice doesn't mean everyone is like that.
Bitterness has no place in your heart, it gets in your way and poisons your mind/heart.
Keep a smile on your face.
Be straight up and honest with everyone. It opens more doors.
Don't turn away from advice or help.
Learn the meaning of being humble.
That's all I have right, wish me luck and pray if you want
