Wow, that's some pretty nice work with some very high profile names. You are clearly an experienced team that can walk the walk. Amazing job!

As for me, no I don't do videos myself. Unless you count really poor product videos done with my cell phone and only minor edits with iMovie lol.

I think you are in a prime position to fulfill some big needs that exist in the market right now for high quality product video creation specialists. If you can figure out how to get in front of those people at a price that is worth it, you can make out very well in your own fastlane.

How much do you charge for a typical 30sec or 1 minute videos for a brand or product?

I honestly know nothing about your business so if these questions are out of line please just let me know and don't answer lol. I just get excited when I see people on the verge of something big.

Thanks for your kind words! Thats exactly what we will like to do, sharing our tools and knowledge to entrepreneurs and startups.

For a typical 30s to 1 minute motion graphics video, we charge somewhere between usd$6000 - usd$14000. This is typically very costly for startups. Therefore we are creating a cloud-based video maker that help small companies to create effective marketing videos, easy to use and very affordable.

We are also doing up quick tutorials, hopefully it helps! Can't wait share more with you guys

I am currently a stay home dad, would be taking my step into the fastlane by first earning some funds by ecommerce on our local platform Qoo10. Will be focusing on filling the market void and improving on products that I can find from alibaba and taobao in my particular niche. Further moving on to creating new products under my own brand to truly become a fastlane business.

Taking one small step at a time now. Hope to hear more from you!
I expect that you know that Taobao is the Chinese language equivalent of Aliexpress. I mention this because many others seem to not know this. For those I suggest that they should avoid the countless agents in China offering their services to source products on Taobao.

For people in Western countries, any attempt to use a Google translate version of Taobao will be very risky, although the first view of the translated page could provide great amusement.

For non-English speakers, why bother trying to use Taobao when you can so easily use Aliexpress? I never recommend Aliexpress by the way.

Hi Walter,

Thanks for taking the time to reply to this post.

To be honest, I only knew about taobao as it is the main "buy from china" platform for consumers in Singapore use. I did not know that Aliexpress exists until I learnt it from this forum. I am fortunate that I am bilingual and finding things to resell in taobao is actually much easier than using Aliexpress (at least for me).

However I would like to add that since reading UNscripted , I am not going to be sourcing products from taobao to resell. As you said, they are the suppliers and resale agents and will not be able to do the private labelling and manufacturing that I would need down the road. I will be going straight to source for manufacturers and build my own brand right from the start. Its going to be 10x harder to do it this way, but its going to be way more valuable and I am certain I can learn alot more about the industry this way.

Sorry about hijacking your intro thread David. Cheers!

Hello David,
Thank you so much for your awesome tips. Every business owner should definitely consider them while creating a video for brand promotion. Could you please also tell which voice is better female or male while making a video?

Thanks a lot

Thank you Bill! Yes we recently came out with a free ebook to share with everybody some tips on creating compelling videos for facebook and mobile.
You can view it here,

Mobile Video Marketing: Slides

We are definitely working on more tips and tricks. Will love to share with you guys.

That has to be one of the best slideshows and piece of content I've seen in years.

My only criticism is that you don't get your visitor's email address! If they download the ebook, then get them to fork it over.

Thank you Chris! glad that you love it.
We do actually get our visitor's email addresses from my website www.offeo.com before they can view it but specially for friends in this forum, we are making it convenient.

Thank you! for the voice it really depends on the nature of your business and the concept of the video. An Automobile company will likely to benefit from a deep Male voice while a ladies apparel company will likely to benefit from a sweet friendly female voice.

67% higher completion rate for square videos vs. landscape.

My god, that's huge.

I also had just learned about being sure to have mobile videos be silent friendly, so I'm glad you confirmed that with data.

Great tips @Davidlee
