I've been working on my first direct response marketing campaign over the last two weeks.
When someone asked me yesterday, if I sent it out already, I had to answer: "No".
He asked me: "Why not?"
My answer: "I still need to research which color scheme has the best psychological effect on what I am trying to achieve..."
He: "Are you serious?"
Well, I was.
But that quickly changed.
We all strive for greatness, we all want to get to the top in whatever we do.
But if we don't put ourselves out there, if we don't start, we won't go anywhere.
Some of the best in their fields sucked big time when they started out.
Don't be afraid. Don't be scared. Embrace the feedback.
Push, move, ship, publish, produce, create.
But start.
And never stop.
Take that first step.
Stop getting caught up in perfectionism.
Go out there. Show it to people. Get feedback.
Give yourself permission to suck.
You'll learn much faster.
P.S.: I initially learned this lesson here.
