Hey guys, my name is Michael I'm 21 and my choices have led me to the slow lane. I am a 3rd year university student on track to being a full time engineer next summer. I have made my parents happy but not myself. My parents were immigrants who came to America to give my brother and I a "better life". They worked 6-7 days a week full time and sometimes overnight! I had a very privileged life but I always see my parents work without rest. Ever since I started college, I felt guilty that my parents are paying my tuition and giving me an allowance. I have taken jobs and internships so I can stop taking my parent's money but they still had to pay for my tuition. I hated that I had to take my parent's money. I hated that I always worried about spending money on food. Most of all, I hated that my parents are still working.
For the past month, I have been doing research on how to make money. Recently, I came across The Millionaire Fastlane book. I am almost done with the book but from what I read, I know for certain that I don't want to work as an engineer for my entire life. I wanted to be on the fast lane.
I have started an online tutoring business but I am having trouble finding students to tutor. I've tried knocking on door to door and I've tried posting on Facebook groups but neither have been working well. I am also dropshipping which doesn't pass the commandments of control and entry so I know this won't be long term. I hope this thread can answer the questions that I may have throughout my journey and I hope that I can answer some questions that others may have on their journey!
Thank you MJ DeMarco for writing The Millionaire Fastlane this book has greatly changed my perspective on how I want to spend the rest of my life.
