Getting paid to go to school. How to best leverage this opportunity?

Anything considered a "hustle" and not necessarily a CENTS-based Fastlane

I'm a veteran who recently left the military. 27 years old, 200k NW.

I'll be starting school soon in San Francisco. Due to how the GI Bill works, I'll be getting a TON of tax-free benefits to live there. Roughly $50k (this is after tuition is paid in full). Combined with real estate income and financial aid, I am looking at $85k/ yr in the bank, after taxes.

I want to leverage this situation to the fullest. I've considered getting a part-time job to stack money even faster. An extra 50k would be 35k after taxes, or 140k in 4 years.

I have also considered this as a way to start a business. I'd have 4 years without the need for a job, and I'd have the resources to fund it.

What would you do?

Sounds like a plan if you're seeking an entrepreneur career. The more capital you have saved, the more opportunity is available to you, and the greater your margin of error becomes.

Is your education going to have value in the marketplace? Or will it be a worthless liberal arts degree?

It will. I'm going to school for compsci and want to get into software.

Have a 90k year job with bs/ms in finance already done & debt free.
Still have 15 months of GI Bill I need to use— BAH here is ~$1750/month.
