Apologies if this is the wrong forum for this

I'm sure there are a lot of people who started out here as wantrepreneurs, constantly consuming podcasts, videos, books, blogs, etc while not taking action. Or maybe jumping from one idea to another, wasting time and money in the process.

If any of you managed to break out of this cycle, what advice would you have for people who are still in it? Is it as simple as just continuing to hammer away and not give up?

The biggest problem of many wantrepreneurs is that they want to create the new Tesla.

Start something small that helps people right away. It doesn't have to be fastlane.

Choose one proven business model (something in which other people are making money) and stick to it no matter what for as long as necessary.

There's a lot more to it than just hammering away. You need a good overall strategy to accompany your tactics.
Most stay stuck because they just don't want it badly enough. The fire has to come from within, not from some motivational book or seminar.

If you're just starting out, here's my advice:
Don't try to re-invent the wheel. Chances are you're not going to be the next Steve Jobs or Elon Musk so just aim for a model that has already been proven.

1. Jump on SEMrush and SimilarWeb then do some competitor analysis. Who gets the most traffic? What is the bounce rate? Where is their traffic coming from? Is it from FB ads? AdWords? Search? Find out where they're getting the bulk of their customers from. Success leaves clues.

2. What does their social media presence look like? Check their FB, IG, Snap, etc.

3. What is their main headline/USP? What are the features and benefits that they push?

4. Are people in this niche spending money on advertising? If they're not, stay the hell away from that niche because there's probably no money in it.

5. Make an excel sheet listing out all of the top competitor features, headlines, guarantees, etc. The reason for putting it into a spreadsheet is because you'll start noticing similarities that all of them share. For example, if you notice that all the top guys offer 24/7 customer support then you'd be a fool not to offer it too. I'm not saying make a clone of your competitors. What you're trying to do is get a baseline foundation of what you should be offering and what marketing angles you should use. Innovate from there.

6. Create a beta version of whatever it is you're offering then give it out for free or break-even to a few people in your target market in exchange for video testimonials that you will use on your website. Testimonials are crucial for credibility.

7. After you got that stuff taken care of, you are ready for outbound/inbound sales. Depending on what you're offering, it may be AdWords, FB Ads, cold calling, e-mail marketing.

8. Engage in host/parasite strategic partnerships. These are partnerships where you do a deal with someone that has a large list of clients who may benefit greatly from what you have to offer. In exchange, you give the host something of value either in the form of a % of sales/free services/free advice/etc the list goes on. Make it a win for everyone and don't get greedy.

Why are host/parasite partnerships so powerful?
a. Minimal risk to you
b. The clients already trust the host so you are viewed as a more trusted entity by virtue of being referred
c. Faster to scale

This thread have helped me a lot with this wantrepreneur problem:
GOLD - Save Yourself Years Of Frustration; It Worked For Me!

Commit to develop your problem solving muscle! ;)

Another thing can be useful is the video I shared in this post: GOLD - THIS is why you are STUCK.

The biggest problem of many wantrepreneurs is that they want to create the new Tesla.
Guilty. 1000 times guilty. Sigh.

If you're just starting out, here's my advice:
Wow! Great great great.

@baljitlewis you have some good steps here. Take the decision or at least move yourself to the point where your frustration is such that you can not do anything else.

I was remember my other times faking action...

When you'll start to make things happen, you'll must be prepared to suck and to have a lot of anxiety but to do it no matter what.

And not only once.

It's easy to do something you are avoiding once. The real challenge is doing it one time after another. You must do it independently of your emotional state or your inner dialogue (a.k.a. excuses). Your emotions will try to preserve the status quo, so don't listen to them. Do it anyway and make the process your habit. Don't forget to reward you for do it and seek accountability if necesary (maybe in this forum).

It's hard, anyway. Don't give up.
