I've looked around and see a lot of people are scared to share their idea in fear that it will be stolen. I don't think its the simple, not anymore. Not anymore you say? Yes,not anymore. Here's why: On a recent trip to the Henry Ford Museum I came across the inventions / patents display. I learned in the 1800 - 1900's people were stealing patents - copying and selling them. Instead of paying all that money for a
HORSE-POWER FOR GIN-HOUSES why not buy a copy of the patent and create it your self? A patent tells you how it works and whats needed create it and during those times most people were more hands on and could easily replicate the idea. So of course a lot of ' ideas ' were stolen.
Not that simple anymore, for example: " My idea is to create a social network with college students. " That's open to a million different interpretations. Remember the book Blind men and an elephant? Everyone will see your idea in a different light and it will be impossible to replicate it the way you see it.
Also - NDA's in the tech space are dead. Good thing its not needed. Remember, your not sharing the blue print, only the idea + no investor will sign one anyway because an idea is worth about $0.
Now if someone execute your idea better then you... Well my friend then you have a problem.
