I'm Fränk. I created this account in 2020 when I first read The Millionaire Fastlane . A lot has happened since then, good and bad--lots of lessons learned.
My primary income source is as a Principal Engineer in an Enterprise WordPress agency. Plenty of fancy words that don't mean anything to people outside of this very narrow niche of the web design industry.
In plain terms, I have been writing code for a long time, and I'm good at it. The kind of projects I work on typically have large budgets, like TechCrunch.com: The 1 Million Dollar Website. That's not to brag, that's just to provide an example. Because "Enterprise" can mean a lot of things.
The date of my joining is not a coincidence. Certain events during this year showed me that "safe" careers in "in-demand" industries can disappear seemingly overnight. I know this is complaining at a high level, but it was an entirely new experience.
So, I went into the business of selling online courses. The good old "package your expertise" play. My WP Development Courses website launched on 12 August 2020 with my first course offering. Which was a financial failure.
This led me down the rabbit hole of trying to learn how to actually sell stuff. The product was good, but I will admit to falling victim to BRO-Marketing. An approach that even when well executed (which it wasn't) doesn't resonate with my particular niche.
Now, over four years later, I'm ready for consulting to be a side hustle rather than the main thing. I won't bore you with the specifics; I'm happy to expand if interested.
I've joined this community because I consider that I could benefit from being around people who either have built or are in the process of building viable businesses that don't rely on gimmicks. But actual solid marketing and sales approaches, with a good product.
The courses I offer have been validated by the market. And the course business is producing income. But far from a full time salary. Now, it's time to get my offering in front of more of the right people while expanding the course lineup to expand the interested audience.
I am looking forward to the journey and learning from you all.
