Hello whomever may read this,
I'll just go by Jack here, but I'm looking forward to diving into some of these forums to expand ideas and join discussions. I'm a freshly turned 20 year old in NC, USA. I had happened to have the urge a little over a year ago to search the internet for "how do people get rich?". With little scrolling I happened to come across a Reddit discussion, where Millionaire Fastlane was mentioned and praised. In all honesty, I managed to access a free copy of it, which I discovered Mr. DeMarco scrutinized in the book itself, and got into reading. (Don't worry MJ, I bought the book, thanks to your realism
) I'm sure like many others, to put a long story short, it resonated and amplified my "philosophy" (or rather the truth) about our wonderful, capitalistic society. So, I took notes and purchased the book, as well as Unscripted , which I loved the seemingly confidence/mood shift! For some background, about a half a year before reading Millionaire Fastlane I got the blessing of a Federal Pell Grant for college. So, with my knowledge of our world, I knew I had to dive into a trade. Which to sum it up, I jumped into a community college and in 7 weeks I'll officially have my Associates in Commercial A/C. (For timeline's sake, I discovered Millionaire Fastlane after first semester.) Since then, I've been slowly but surely trying to muster up a line of backup plans and business ideas. Up to today, this is where I'm at at the very beginning of this trip to the Fastlane:

2. I believe this is a HUGE FOCUS on everyone's mind, but I'm giving this topic it's own focus because of how much it may be implemented into ANY business. So..... Drum Roll Please.....
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE!!
1. So, this one really really frustrates me, and not because I have anything against AI per say, but it's the subconscious acknowledgment of an inevitable drastic shift into the utilization of AI in almost all business across the world. That being said, I hold much anxiety in my lack of understanding of how AI actually works down to the code. Even trying to dive into it is very intimidating. I believe that I could learn it if I needed to, but I'm not sure I'd be too good at anything regarding coding, but that's besides the point.
2. I've been brainstorming and trying to find out what I would utilize AI for, and how much of it could I really trust to implement into business. A few of these potential questionable uses: Chatbots, AI accountant, data analytics and current codebooks (for hvac for example).
3. To piggyback off of my lack of experience regarding coding and AI, I would then prefer to hire someone to build and maintain a privately oriented AI tool specifically for me and my business(es). So, if anyone can pitch in on this aspect, (I will also be searching and reading the forums), it would be much appreciated.
Honestly, I'm going to leave this at a: (TO BE CONTINUED)... I believe it's a good true INTRO INTRO, and it's about that hour for me.
If this post gains attention, based on the feedback, I will either continue to rant on about my perspective and ideas or I will discuss whatever may be requested.
I hope I can make a presence here, it's nice to actually strive for the "UNSCRIPTED " lifestyle. Which if anyone here gets to know bit more about me, may actually seem quite achievable, for someone in my shoes.
Until next time,
Jack

- I plan on utilizing HVAC as a financial backbone for any future business ventures I'll consider. This will fully ease any anxiety that failure would lead to me being broke. With this, no matter how much money I lose, I have a reliable, self employed job to go back to. To add onto that, I am getting plans in the works to refining my knowledge to fully grasp and gain the ability to start a basic LLC, starting with HVAC.
- I have a coworker that I've mentioned and discussed doing residential work, starting a year ago (around this month actually). Since then, we've completed a job together, have highlighted what we need more experience in, and are mutually opening up our weekends for work/studying. Just to add, he has connections, specifically a realtor with connections. (I actually have a meeting with him this Saturday)
- That being said, we are both mutually gonna be collecting information and gaining experience from employers and personal side work, until we feel we are "ready" to start investing in a business. Which I'm aware that I've got a LOT to learn: Material to acquire licenses, legal guidance, registry, insurance, Federal/State/County Codes, etc. Though, I can say that so far, both in school and at my current workplace (which I plan on leaving ASAP, but more on that in a minute), I have been a top performer, which to put it simply: I'm good at caring about and knowing my shit.
- I'm sure many of you know this, but a lot of trade work (at least mine), is pretty reliant on hands on experience. You'll learn exponentially faster actually doing the work than just studying, but I'm doing both! So, due to this, I plan on convincing an employer (as my company's training model takes too long) to be willing to invest time to teach me multiple positions and routines, and in return I will repay that investments with my top notch work ethic, providing business feedback (if warranted), and hopefully get experience expanding their business. My only issue with this. (which directly disrespects the Fastlane), is that I'm reliant on someone else's willingness to actually respect my wishes. So, I'm still brainstorming an angle to come at this with.
- Now, assuming this goes well, I plan on doing side work to scrap together and reinvest most, if not all, of my earned funds, back into the business. Expand and upgrade tools list, Invest in a company vehicle, and attempt to make a name for myself. I'm optimistic of course, but am definitely expecting failure (in case anyone was wanting to humble me). I'm aware of the unawareness of hardships to come, but regardless, the fact that I am and will be trying, restores my dignity. So, I will continue to try until I succeed, and if anyone hasn't been to North Carolina, job growth relating to HVAC is supposed to increase 13%. There's more customers than competition, to put it simply, so that's a good sign. A lot of the big companies charge ridiculously and are seemingly focused more on the RNC (Residential New Construction) houses popping up everywhere.
- I can't even really begin to scope how I would handle the business in the future. Though, for now, I plan on actually building the foundation of the business with or without the mentioned coworker. Then, I plan on hiring close friends (starting with my classmate that shares the same Degree as me), training them and implementing them into it as well. Which, for me personally, I don't plan to exceed any more than 10 employees. I don't wish to do HVAC work my whole life, to reiterate, I want it to fund the ideas that I believe are less physically taxing and more fulfilling. So if I can take a tiny cut of the pie by selling and/or passing down the company to my close HVAC friend classmate guy, I will lol. (He's a more simple traditional man, that I honestly think would love to run his own little HVAC business.)
