I don’t know Mj’s stance on this, but I’ve heard the term “unconferencing” where you go to where a conference is and just try and meet people at after hours events. Don’t know if it’s cheating, so correct me if I’m wrong, but I think it’d be worth it to fly out just to meet up for drinks in the evenings.

No there isn't.

But on Saturday after the event there should be some networking and hob-nobbing going on.

This winter has been nuts for weather for those of us with more than 1 season. Can't wait to get me some desert!

On a slightly crazy note, I have only booked one leg of my flight, due to potentially needing to fly somewhere else after the event. The return flight was $550. I just checked it again now and the price is down to $370! I might book it.

I would pay for this. Seems that I can’t go because of my age and I don’t have anyone to travel with anyways. But it would be awesome to have a paid live stream for INSIDERS.

Are you above 18? You can find a way to go. You can use airbnb, you can book a different hotel, you can beg a forum member to book a room for you, etc.

Also, travelling alone is awesome.

Came home, saw MJ's announcement of 4 tickets remaining and INSTANTLY ordered. Didn't even think.
Refreshed the page 10 seconds later and it was sold out!

Wow, prices for flights look absolutely stupid for ONLY the days around this event.

For me it's about $300 CAD for any other day/week leading up to the event. For a thursday-sunday trip for this event, it's over $700!

Valentines Day price hike perhaps?

I'll sit on this for a few days to see if prices change at all but certainly a bit of sticker shock after checking this.

It's also Winter Break for a lot of schools. Flights are very expensive around school vacations. Best thing you can do is use an incognito browser when shopping for the tickets. I got my flight from 600 to 450 this way (round trip)

Getting in around 4pm. Leaving 7am.
Saved a good deal with those dates.

I see. I personally think it would be a nice idea to have like a INSIDERS or (paid) live stream/recorded option available for those who are interested but are either out of the country or can't make it.
