Everyone that has been impacted by the lock down needs to sue their governor. Here's an article that shows you how to do it.

No way! F*ck, I was worried they were one in the same.

Is that all you took away from my post?

Your lack of effort to read and comprehend shows in your posts as well.

Don’t worry though, you’ll have plenty of time to think after the economy is totally destroyed, and the only thing left is thought and discussion without the distractions of modern life. Oh, and hunger, illness and suffering. You’ll have those too.

Well, your original post is certainly making it seem like lost of jobs = death.

I have been doing more research on your end of the perspective and not gonna lie getting lots of loony toon vibes.

Regardless, what is your stance. I’m sure everyone agrees they just want to get back to normal.

At the beginning, the lockdown seemed like a good idea FOR A LIMITED TIME because in March I believed a) a relative who's a doctor when he stated we were on the upslope of the curve and b)I believed that experts really were concerned and were giving us correct data. Now, though, it seem like it has become a mash up of politics/virtue signaling . More and more I see people saying "if you are not wearing a mask, you do not care about others". WRONG. I have trouble wearing a mask and my primary duty is to make sure I do not pass out from lack of oxygen so that I can do things for my loved ones. While I sort of care about someone else's granny, I care more about my household.

And when did "wear a mask when you cannot social distance" become you MUST wear a mask and you MUST stay 6 feet apart. They have said time and time again that distance is the more important factor. The beaches in LA are open, but you have to do both. In the sunshine, where the virus is dead quickly.

I'm also completely skeptical of medical data and "experts" now. At the beginning I really believed that all medical people were really and truly telling the truth, using good data, AND were really and truly interested in the health of the American people. I do not believe anybody anymore, and as time goes on, it seems like all the "experts" are speaking out of their southern orifice.

I AM SO OVER THIS. ALL OF IT. Everyone will die some day and I really think a lot of people are so afraid of dying that they are afraid to live with any risks and they are shaming everyone else into the same.

Sorry, this was mainly a rant, I have no insights.

People act like death is not a natural part of life. We'll get to a point where we stay lock inside all our lives to avoid death. But can you call that living at all?

Or just cut your own hair? Saves time and money. Been doing it for like 8 years.

Or stop cutting your hair. I think that it's been at least a year since my last haircut and I'm thrilled with it.

The data has changed, Fauci and anyone else that hasn’t changed their perspective are idiots politicians. I don’t care how elevated their expert credentials are. Reality is what it is.

Fixed this for you.

And no, I don't mean this in the usual where way people call politicians idiots simply by virtue of being politicians. They're smart enough to stay in power, which takes exceptional skill.

They're professional liars and the only criteria that matters to them is staying in power. "Being wrong" about this or that issue doesn't matter if you don't get booted from office.

What I'm getting at is this: what is his real motivation? What political end is he working towards that his stance on the coronavirus might help him with?

I have no idea what the answer is, but that's how you should look at politics if you actually want to predict what politicians will do next.

Not just the USA. In some places people are begging to keep restrictions for longer even though nobody forces them to go outside when the restrictions are lifted. You don't want to live a normal life, stay the f*** home but let everyone else who hasn't succumbed to media-driven absurd panic go outside and live free.

Tonight my wife and I had dinner at one of our favorite restaurants. It was glorious.

Shame on you. Do you know how many people you just killed because you didn't want to cook yourself? Do everyone a favor and turn yourself in to your local authorities.

This is still a major concern but what do we do?

If we keep the lockdown up the economy with completely F*ck everyones lives.

know a nurse that sits in on parliament discussions and they say that this won’t be over until at least September. And on top of that the economic effect will be worse then the virus itself.

From the EIDL loan paperwork. If you want to relocate, you gotta tell SBA where you're going and get their permission first lol.

These are written so haphazardly... I am shocked. There is zero way they are going to enforce all of the bylaws. Once they go after some bigger companies on their radar and find an essential impossibility to track what is spent on what and who is following their broadly written rules, they are going to have no choice but to just stand down on this.

An attorney could blow 15 holes in that.

"The disaster" meaning coronavirus... Is worldwide...

Look at "to the extent feasible" you will buy American made products with this.

Define how feasible my extent was?

Some still want to look at least presentable.

Those people should have gone to better barbers to get haircuts that still look great when their hair grows out.

Wow, you really trying to have an argument for everything and not be wrong.

Do you want barbers to predict that someone’s hair still looks good after 1 year or maybe even 5 years. Can’t wait to see lawsuits “Man sues barber because his hair doesn't look good after years of not cutting.” Jesus, I’m done.

Just gave simple tip of cutting your own hair instead being dependent on barber and you bring up all these Bs arguments because you don’t want to be wrong.

This is an interesting read. I tend to agree with a lot of what’s being said here. The heavy lock downs just aren’t sustainable. I’m sure a lot of you have heard about Sweden.

Another thing I’ve been looking into was how everything went during the 1918 pandemic, but I’m noticing there were a lot of different factors during the Spanish Flu. For one, it killed more middle age people, so that made gaps to fill in the workforce which helped create employment opportunities (I know, that sounds bad, but it’s the reality). Also, I’ve been seeing that places that took lock down orders more seriously tended to have faster economic recoveries.

The Black Plague created a lot of opportunities for the bottom of society because their ended up being more demand for labor than supply. I think that there was even a flourishing of culture that followed it as well. Life (in the broadest sense) just keeps rolling on.

Simon Black outdid himself with his new article rounding up the worst absurdities from last week:

Are you ready for this week’s absurdity? Here’s our Friday roll-up of the most ridiculous stories from around the world that are threats to your liberty, risks to your prosperity… and on occasion, inspiring poetic justice.

Police arrest surfers for standing still on the beach

Like most of the world, Cape Town, South Africa is on lockdown to stop the spread of the virus.

The city does allow residents to walk along the beach during an “exercise window” every morning from 6am to 9am, as if everyone is an incarcerated felon.

But you aren’t allowed to go in the ocean to surf, or to paddleboard.

Surfers have pointed out that while the walkways get crowded, the open ocean has practically limitless space… so it’s clearly a lot easier to maintain social distancing while in the ocean, rather than being packed together on the boardwalk.

Unfortunately government orders are not known for being logical.

To push back, surfers went to the beach and simply stood there with their surfboards and protest signs.

Police came along and told them to keep moving. After all, this was an “exercise window,” not a “stand at the beach window.”

Those who ignored the orders were arrested for standing still when they should have been exercising.

Barber has license revoked for re-opening

Karl Manke, a 77 year old barber, had his license suspended because he opened his shop in defiance of Michigan's lockdown order.

The state suspended the license without due process-- they simply revoked his right to earn a living.

But Karl Manke kept on cutting hair.

There has been no shortage of customers for the week he’s been open. Some waited for two hours for a haircut, just to support a man who is standing up for himself.

“I’m not trying to be a scofflaw. I’m trying to make a living,” said Manke. “I tried for the unemployment. I was denied twice on unemployment.”

Manke is facing a $1000 fine and two misdemeanor charges.

But a judge refused to sign an order to stop Manke from operating until he has a hearing on June 23. The local Sheriff also said he will not enforce the Governor’s orders.

It’s unclear if the Governor’s orders even hold legal weight, since the state legislature did not authorize the lockdown extension.

But regardless of the legal consequences, Manke vowed to stand up against violations of his rights. And he has plenty of support.

Colorado restaurant license revoked after opening for Mother’s Day

A Colorado restaurant had its license revoked by the county health board after it opened for Mother’s Day.

The restaurant opened in defiance of the statewide lockdown order, prompting the Governor of Colorado to criticize the restaurant owner at a press conference:

"Customers will return en masse when they feel safe. When people see videos of people packed into a restaurant with no social distancing and no masks, people feel less safe and the widespread economic pain will only be prolonged."

Wait… doesn’t a packed restaurant mean that people feel safe enough to return en masse? Everyone in that packed restaurant was there voluntarily. They were all willing to be around other people, and hence felt safe enough to do so.

The Governor continued, "I love my mom far too much to put her at risk by visiting a busy restaurant operating illegally just to take a selfie with omelets and a mimosa."

That’s great, dude. Then you and your mom can stay at home cowering in fear while grown adults who are willing to take a chance go out in the world and live their lives.

It is not about haircuts or mimosas. It is about basic freedoms, and the overreach of government authority. No one authorized this person to play God with other people’s lives.

Four plans in Congress to forgive varying amounts of student debt

Jubilee is coming! There are now FOUR different plans in Congress to forgive student loan debt.

They all have distinct features and forgive varying amounts of debt for different groups of people.

For example, one plan would forgive up to $25,000 worth of student loans for essential workers, such as healthcare workers, first responders, postal employees, and grocery store workers.

Another proposal would forgive ALL student loan debt for any medical workers caring for C0VlD-19 patients. Keep in mind that many of these doctors and nurses have six figures of debt.

Another bill would forgive federal student loans for everyone, but only up to a limit of $10,000.

And another version of that same bill would go further, forgiving up to $30,000 worth of government-backed student loans.

There’s actually a fifth plan, put forth by Joe Biden’s team, which would forgive federal student loan debt for anyone who attended either a public university or a historically black college.

We’ve been predicting a debt jubilee for years. It might not be one of these plans, but you can see the writing on the wall. Debt forgiveness is coming… and so are the economic consequences that go with it.

Click here to read the full story.

National debt hits $25 trillion without fanfare

Speaking of debt, total US National Debt surpassed $25 trillion on May 5.

That is a whopping 117% of the USA’s Gross Domestic Product. The debt has only been higher, as a percentage of GDP, just after World War II.

But we’re just at the very beginning of World War C0VlD-19-- or rather, the economic devastation caused by the government response to the pandemic. So just wait, because we’ll see $30 trillion soon.

I’m in the same boat. I initially thought the lock downs were a good idea. Over time you start to realize, 1) it’s not sustainable. 2) do these experts really know what the hell they are talking about? 3) there are more factors than just medical opinion. Even if the experts are correct medically, they have no experience running a country. For them health is the number one priority, when there are many factors that may be just as important.

Another thing that really pissed me off and makes me not want to hear what the experts or government are saying is that supposedly they initially recommended not wearing masks because they knew they were in short supply and didn’t want the average person taking away from the medical supply, even though in January they were warned about a shortage of masks. Their response was, “We’ll just change the CDC guidelines on masks and tell people not to wear them.” I was suspicious of this from the beginning when they changed their stance on masks. I said, “well if masks don’t do anything, why do doctors wear them?” I get it if you want us to save masks for medical workers, but tell me that. Don’t lie and say they don’t do anything. I’ll post an article below about the man that warned the government about mask shortages and ended up getting demoted for speaking out about it. That’s where I found out about them changing the CDC guidelines for wearing masks.

“Simon Black outdid himself with his new article rounding up the worst absurdities from last week”

See, this is what I mean. The people running shit are making people go to the beach in a 3 hour window. I don’t understand how they don’t see that making everyone get out for a 3 hour window is more dangerous than just opening the beach all day. You do the three hour window and everyone all goes at once and crowds up the beach, making social distancing harder. Meanwhile, everyone is crowding up the beach but it’s illegal to go in the water, which as the article states, has virtually limitless space. Come on South Africa, you’re better than this.
