.... part of this event is figuring out how to interact with this type of event!

Mmmmmm you have a link to that? I thought the hosts job was to put attendees at their ease and ensure they get the most out of the event.:smuggy:

I feel silly asking this but what would be the recommended attire?

Nothing in stone, but I'd recommend business casual, or something suitable as if you expected to go to a decent restaurant.

Formal and informal.

We’re unscripted we can wear whatever as long as we get to the conference. I don’t even own nice slacks. I wear athleisure every day of my life. I had to splurge to buy jeans for this event. There’s no way I’m wearing church dresses to sit in a chair for eight hours.
So far I’m out $1600 just to make this happen and I’m not flying in from the UK. Those guys are spending close to 3K.
Event + flight + hotel + four days of daycare for my kids + time away from work... it’s ridiculous. Worth every penny though. Nobody’s gonna care wtf you wear as long as you don’t show up naked; it’s your attitude that matters.

I googled business casual for outdoors... I don't think I can pull this off.20200131_110051.webp

If I catch wind of MJ doing another value skew competitions as he did in 2016, I might show up without any clothes  That $1k+ would cover my hotel and most of the summit ticket price. I'd either win by default or would have a head start when the question was raised to streak and earn that handful of cash.

Nah, I'll have a nice outfit ready to go. Looking forward to all the talks and meeting people.

Thankfully not! Just want to point out to anyone thinking of excusing themselves from future events on these grounds that where there's a will there's a way, & despite flying from the UK, I'm actually tracking a spend on this event that's similar to yours.

I don't have to pay for daycare though.

Amen!

Can't wait to soak it all in!

Reminder for everyone coming:
come to the event with the mindset of 'who can i help today?'
spend the entire event trying to help others get better, make that connection, clear that hurdle
give

right now, stop and put a reminder in your phone for 8a each day of the event. it should say 'who can i help today?' ..... do it now
Thanks for the tip. This is my first time and I had no idea what mindset to bring to the meetup. Now I know!

This sounds easier than trying to figure out how to squeeze the biggest benefit out of 2.5 days of talking and listening. Everyone has something of value to offer.

I'm so excited for the summit - flying the way from Germany but I'm already pretty sure that it will be worth it.

Is there a group for the attendees ? Like that we could organize each other better.
Are there some people already arriving Tuesday evening like me? :)

Thanks for the post @ZCP, I put the reminder in my phone. If only some people have this mindset the summit will be beneficial for everybody.
@Intax,

Have safe flight over here. See you at the Summit.

True stories will be available, they just need to be specifically sought. He's coming, he's got a ticket.:)
Yeah, Buddy! Also, I'm seeing The Millionaire Fastlane pop up on a lot of entrepreneur "Best" lists. Congratulations, MJ. Well deserved. I look forward to seeing you and the crew at the Summit.

Wow, amazing lineup, so many people who have helped me over the years with their wise words.

You're in for a treat people, wish I could be there across the pond with y'all. Next time!

Flying in from the frosty and fresh UK. Coach to the airport leaves at midnight, and flight leaves at 9 tomorrow. Any tips on what to pack for Phoenix weather? Will I become a human popsicle without shorts?

I ain't wearing no suit in desert heat, that's for sure.

Ok I've gone all mid-life crisis and just rented a Mustang convertible. I couldn't find a Miata to rent. 70 degrees on Saturday and Sunday? shiiiiiiit, I'm going on a drive and enjoying this as much as possible. Any great scenic roads out there? Maybe the paved sections of Apache trail. I need to take in some rugged beauty. Route 89a to Sedona, maybe Sunday afternoon. This is going to be great.

Haha nice one! I was planning on renting a vehicle post summit so I can really absorb phoenix.

Fingers crossed I can squeeze in a trip to the grand canyon man :)

I'm just happy I'm getting any sun at all!

I know there are plans for hiking at Camelback and a bike ride but if anyone is not scheduled to go to that and would like to take a trip to Superstition Mountain with me let me know. Right now I’m thinking Sunday would be a great day for the hike.

I'm down. Is there a significant difference between the two locations for hiking?
