Pitch this to the Supreme retail/stock management team this week and come back to us with their response. Ignoring all the other gaps in your plan, this is the barrier you should be focusing on. Can’t get them to buy in and everything else is academic.

Here’s a head start: https://linkedin.com/company/supreme-italia

Way to be able to take criticism. Have fun fighting for overpriced clothing with a hoard of 14 year old “entrepreneurs” trying to do the same thing.

People who can’t take any sort of criticism don’t seem to make it very far as entrepreneurs.
Wait no I really meant to thank everyone, I didn’t mean any sarcasm or anything. Sorry for any miscommunication

Okay lets do a scenario.

"I'm one of your paying customers. I just bought a monthly subscription because I've been looking to purchase an item from Supreme but don't want to pay the crazy resale prices.

Today is Saturday and I decide to log on to your site because I heard about a new product they started selling earlier in the week which now out of stock on their site. I go to your website to make my purchase, excited that my subscription is now going to pay off, but there's a problem. You don't have it in stock because it was already purchased by other people on your site.

Now, I consider cancelling my membership to the service since there is not enough in stock. What's the point of paying a monthly membership fee if I can't purchase what I want?"

How will you handle this situation?
Yeahhh this one’s true too, thanks. Yeah now that I think about it it’s not really a good idea.

Hmm maybe try to tweak it a little bit? Like say, instead of a monthly subscription site, it’s going to be a “proxy” site?

Say retail +$20 for shirts, +$30 for pants and crewnecks/hoodies +$50 for jackets.

You feel me?

Hey fellow millionaires!! (Lol I’m not a millionaire, far from it for now)

So I have an idea, the idea is to have a membership site so that people can buy Supreme (the clothing brand) products for retail instead of paying resell prices.

The problem is, I don’t know where to start. Help is GREATLY appreciated :D
Okay let’s change it up a bit, because yeah Supreme does sell in limited stocks, and it’s going to be EXTREMELY tough for us to provide for members.

Instead, provide a proxy service. Customers pay us to buy whatever item they want, if we don’t get it money back guaranteed.

question is, what’s the best way to accept payments where we won’t lose money? I know PayPal can be exhausting since they take a lot from the money cuz of fees and such. Thank you!

I see you're partially through Unscripted , but did you read the Millionaire Fastlane ? If not, I'd personally put Unscripted on hold and read that first.

You'll learn why this business doesn't fit the CENTS framework. For example, control is being violated. This business relies on Supreme and their success. You won't have control over the business.

I like your line of thinking, but don't think this will actually work. I'm creating a similar service in the "supreme bot" market area. If you're interested shoot me a DM and we can discuss. If you have never heard of the bots a quick google and youtube + a few hours will do you justice.

Pretty much the only way to get their product for retail price.

This idea doesn't make any sense.

For those that don't know about Supreme the company sells limited items. There's only two ways to buy directly from the company either online or in store. Both are filled with resellers.

The online items are sold the second they are activated. There's hundreds if not thousands of bots fighting over the clothes. I don't think humans are faster than bots clicking the purchase button. Some of this bots are very expensive around $2-$5k each.

Than in retail most of the people you see standing in line for hours are paid to stand there. Supreme limits how many items you can purchase in store. They also ban resellers. Resellers that are banned can't purchase Supreme so they pay people to stay in line and purchase the items. The ones that they haven't been caught pay people to purchase more than one of certain items. You can't buy bulk directly from Supreme.

There's no way you can resell what you purchased for retail. Why? Because there's people out there "resellers" that have already marked up the price even before they pay for the item. They have to make their money back from the bots and people they payed to stand in line.

How exactly are you helping your subscribers?

Why not just do what you do and resell on Ebay or Amazon or Facebook or Offerup? Why do you need your own website?

If he is going to go with a platform. Those aren’t the ones he wants. Nobody goes to those to sell streetwear.

It is either StockX or Grailed, maybe Poshmark

Edit: Depop and Bump also

What if one day, Supreme gradually becomes uncool? As we all know, Generation Z and the young segment of the Millennial generation changes their tastes quite suddenly, might also be due to shift in pop culture preferences etc. When that happens, what will you do?

IMO, it's better to leave these streetwear crap to the rapper wannabes and the Kayne West lovers.
You would have better luck doing a more down-to-earth business trimming plants or providing one-on-one tour guide services.

Supreme is like Bitcoin. In reality, these are worthless, but got traction because of the "Tulip Mania" syndrome.

You're basically trying to forcibly turn a good into a commodity. Supreme is popular because it takes work to get it. The more people work for something, the more they appreciate it.

You're taking all the work out of it and the work is what makes it special.

What are you going to pay your team to stand outside for hours and hours on end to buy clothes for you? $10 an hour? You'd have to pay them benefits if you want them to sign a non-compete clause with you. Otherwise, if you 1099'd them, they owe you no legal consent and can quit anytime.

If I was on your team, why the hell would I work for you when I could simply just buy the clothes and resell them myself, making thousands more than what you would pitifully pay me?

I applaud that your mind is working and you are coming up with ideas, because that is the first step to creating something successful but you missed the mark trying to piggy-back on another brand that may just pursue legal action against you if you were to try such a thing.

I see a few legal issues regarding the subscription system you are structuring. What are you offering to your members? What happens if a paid member does not get the item they want? Are they going to pay a membership just to have the thin chance of getting an item?
Another one is that you are officially entering the chain of commercial responsibility.
Also, the brand usually bans re sellers. What would happen if they legally block your site or your ability to provide items to your members?

That´s a very light and shallow overview so it would be overwhelming if I would put the time on thinking about legal issues in a more profound manner.
