Hi Everyone,

I am in Bali, Indonesia and I stumbled upon something yesterday.

I met a women who does cold-calling sales here in the country.

Specifically, she calls over 200 people a day and sells event space to them for the hospitality industry. In this work, she speaks only english, deals with gate keepers, gets appointments, and best of all, she told me that she converts about a new high-ticket client every two days.

Now, what I recognize is that these are skills that are not going to be easily findable in America, in addition this woman would do it for significantly less than any Western worker would and she would probably do a better job. She works 8-10 hour days and makes $300 in base salary and about $2000 with commissions a month. But not only that, she has an office full of workers just like this, some of whom even just quit.

So what I am wondering is with this knowledge, how could I use this to go ahead and recruit them (that's the easy part), and help American companies with their sales (maybe the harder part).

Find an opportunity or opportunities that needs selling, put up the $300-$600 and get to testing for the next couple months

You wouldn't even need to check with the American company really. All they need is they stuff sold, regardless of how you are accomplishing that. Maybe you could even find some quality high ticket products that offer affiliate/referral programs and get started there

@JAJT this kinda goes with the "white glove" idea you posted on my INE thread, I'll let you explain it here if you want to.

Also, check out threads by @458 as he's the Cold Call master here.

Any high end service business is going to say yes to sales, me included.

Could she sell websites?

Who needs SAAS and what are the price points you look at selling?

The product stretches across multiple industries and is aimed at small to medium companies based in Canada and the USA. A year subscription right now is 6K per company but looking to move that closer to 9K once its fully finished.

If you can really convert a new customer every two days, you'd make bank on the commission and I'd be happy to pay it.

I think she could sell anything. She knows how to use linked in and the internet. I could train her to find exactly the target market "Lawyers/dentists/construction companies/etc. in x location with shitty website" and I am sure she would go to town in the whole industry.

What she would need though, and this is anyone else I do find because there are more where she came from, she would need a proven process to be most effective. Unfortunately, they just don't have as much critical thinking skills that I think many who do sales in the Western world would have. This isn't to say that she is stupid or uneducated, just that they don't have to really think super deep about anything. There is no challenge to do so, and this is just speculation on my part, but the way I'm thinking about it, is that they have the sales process in place for this hospitality industry and she just goes to town.

This isn't bad, but I think there are bigger sales to be had.

What do you imagine these bigger sales look like price wise? And what percentage of each sale are you hoping to receive?
At a minimum I think the only sales that would be of interest to me would be $5k and higher, but for example I know a woman who does social media management and consulting for her clients. Her charge is $1,500/month which is a good sale to be had as she has a high retention of these clients as well. Which I honestly think is kind of high for the value she brings, but she makes it happen. So, yeah something of this is of interest.

So for me, looking at the SAAS and again I don't know much or anything about it, That $500 a month or $750 isn't bad, but what I want to look is companies with their products or services that can make an even greater contribution.

And I'm not sure the different markets and industries, which is why I ask, but my thoughts are that there is larger industries with higher revenue margins that could benefit from this type of skills in sales and cold-calling ability. For example, maybe there is a construction company who sells their equipment and the amounts of money per sale to be had are more in the range of $20,000 - $200,000. The key I think is finding out where the business would have the most tangible effect, the greatest ROI, then targeting those with these sales services.
