I haven't read through this entire thread, so apologies if this is a repeat, but I like this one and it ties in nicely with TMF .

by the way, this is why i want to be free, not rich

you can always get your money back but not your youth

a lot of rich guys in their 60's would be very happy to be sucessful 20 years old guy dating girls all the day

maybe youth and girls are more important than old age and wealth

if you ask people in the street " what are you willing to die for ? " they don't have a clue

The problem is not the problem. The problem is your attitude about the problem- jack sparrow

The problem is not the problem. The problem is your attitude about the problem- jack sparrow

it reminds me of a story i read yesterday

let me explain

according to mathematics, it is impossible to win the (european) lottery twice .

the odds are ridiculous : 283,000,000,000 to 1 . yes 283 Billions with a B.

mathematics consider this is definitely impossible.

but a guy in the UK doesn't care about impossible odds and mathematics

his name is david long :

Couple who won Euromillions lottery TWICE ''knew it would happen again''

the guy won the lottery twice . the odds were 283 bilions to one

according to mathematics, this is impossible and an insult to science

but as you said the problem is not the problem ( the odds ),

the problem is finding the right attitude , the right faith

“But I don’t want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.

"Oh, you can’t help that," said the Cat: "we’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad."

"How do you know I’m mad?" said Alice.

"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn’t have come here.”

This is one of my all time favorites, this pic was taken from my "cubicle" in my last year before leaving corporate America... Roughly ONCE A WEEK, I would arrive to work with the thumbtacks still in place while a someone would constantly rip it down... Ended up printing 100 copies and eventually towards my final days covered my entire cubicle walls with "wallpaper", true story.

"If you think about it, all that a university or final highest school can do for us,
is still but what the first school began doing--teach us to read. We learn to read
in various languages, in various sciences; we learn to read the alphabet and letters
of all manners of books.

But the place where we are to get the knowledge from, even theoretical knowledge,
is the books themselves. It depends on what we read after all manners of professors
did their best for us. The real university of these days is a collection of books."
-- Thomas Carlyle

From "The Republic of Tea":

Writing about getting a company started does not get a company started. Taking action, not talk about taking action, is the one absolute requirement to start a business. You check your instincts, you check your information, you check the known risks against the anticipated rewards as best you can in and uncertain world, and you plunge. You take action.
