Pretty cool stuff.

While I think it's interesting that these extremely rich people don't have more expensive exotic/luxury cars, I will never understand the logic of the people who bash others that strive to own the 'finer' things in life. It's like some people look down upon it.

I personally don't see anything particularly admirable about being rich and living a simple life. Nor do I see anything particularly admirable about being rich and owning a mansion and tons of exotics etc..

It's all personal choice. Because "I can" and knowing you have the choice is powerful. That's the kind of freedom I'm talking about. And having years of ownership experience helps as well. By all means if someone can afford one and is "on the fence" do it -- experience it, live it, and then make your assessment.

The only disclaimer I have with my lack of desire to own another exotic is this: I have yet to see an Aventador Roadster in person.
If I could afford it, I would go the Jay Leno route and buy lots of classic cars. Why? Because aside from maintenance and insurance, they are an asset. It took me a while to realize how foolish this was when I didn't have ANY money.

Now I drive a Tacoma with 90k on it, and I can go out and buy a nice new car, and I just ask myself why?

I think I'll drive that until the wheels fall off...

I stopped worrying about status or the car I drive. Sorry I literally just googled it as I'm unfamiliar with car buying. In that case, sounds like the way to go!

Everything is up for negotiation. Lease length, mileage, additional options. The shorter the lease the less likely it to need tires and other stuff. I got a 27 month lease.

If your business supports you hell yes. If you have a job and you one day want to quit when your business gets going I'd say pay cash.

Reminds me of a great line:

Too many people spend too much of their lives doing something they hate to buy stuff they don't need to impress people they don't know.
