Preface: I’m partnered with another guy (former special operations guy) to teach shooting, self defense, and other related stuff.

We started an IG and went from 0 -3,000 followers very quickly and people loved our content. Then IG shadow banned us like they are doing to all shooting related pages. Now our average post gets less than 100 views. Ridiculous.

61 days ago we decided to move to Twitter/x and consulted with someone who is a “growth expert” that other people we know used.

His general advice was this:

Post at least 10 times a day. 5 post should be value post, the other 5 should be random opinion pieces and fun stuff.

Leave 200 comments a day on related pages and give value not market or sale.

Offer free stuff (lead magnet basically) to all followers.

We did that. Religiously.

61 days later we have zero followers.

Posting the same type on content that did well on IG and the same stuff that does well on other related pages. Yet nothing.

wtf…

What’s the secret here?
