If you look at photo 24 of 26 on Zillow, it shows the siding absolutely pummeled (I would assume from hail, but it's so bad, it looks like an active shooter was involved). If they had hail bad enough to put that many holes into the siding, then I would guess the roof is absolutely wrecked as well. Depending on how long it has sat like that, maybe there's water damage and rotten wood underneath both the roof and the siding.

I Googled around and Gillete WY frequently has hail, so that may be it. It looks like the damage is only on one side of the house, and probably the roof. Good catch!

I side with the sidewalker. First and foremost, why would anyone park a car on the sidewalk that is obviously for pedestrians? Does the driver know the difference between a sidewalk and a parking lot?

It is the same with a car driver who stopped on top of the sidewalk when the traffic light goes red.

I recently had to park in a way that made me very uncomfortable with my truck and a trailer. Why? Because I was helping a friend move out of his office downtown. I knew it was stressing him out and that I could help.

I sure hope that you wouldn’t have stomped on my truck out of some entitlement like the dweeb in the video…

For your sake.

Interesting situation because what I know is that this is a very common practice in my hometown where cars are parked on the sidewalk for the reason of inadequate public transit but I see your point.

Given your situation, the post would be different if the parked car is an Ambulance.

I’ve been watching lots of skateboard clips, especially street clips (jumping stairs and stuff). Got a product idea for yall.

Design some skateboard trucks with shock absorption/suspension.

Bigger than what’s out there, to take some bigger impacts maybe, and handle rougher stuff. Just a random idea - I’m not doing this

I feel like that would lead to a more sluggish experience and make a lot of tricks much harder - or even impossible - to pull off.

Maybe, but that's where the invention/design comes in - you design something new and inventive that solves these problems.

I loathe cities.

They used to feel like magical lands of opportunity and big dreams. Now they’re just shit-holes full of people that hate one another. The best way I have to describe existing in a city is constant tension and abrasion. Everything is frustrating.

Look at that video. No one gives anyone the benefit of the doubt. The lady might have been loading up something. It might have been a special occasion that required this parking. The guy had room to walk around the car, but felt it his duty to vandalize her car for the inconvenience of walking a foot further to the right. She also may have just been an entitled Karen. What a joke. What a country. What a way to exist. I don’t want to share a country with either of them, let alone a sidewalk.

The dude is probably an avid Redditor that's so disconnected from reality that he'd involve himself in self-righteous shit like this to gain "karma" or approval by other retards err, Redditors online. A sign of the times.

That, or stuff like this has always happened, but we're only seeing it now because everyone has a camera in their pocket.

Think of it like this: If you were to not use social media at all and just go about your life, would you still be as disappointed in your country as you are now?

I’m an anomaly. I’ve used social media sparingly for most of my life. I also, without social media or the news, can easily observe the march towards socialism. It’s also not a politician problem, it’s a people problem. The sentiment among Americans is that of theft, entitlement, stupidity and force. So yeah, I’m disappointed in America, have been for some time.

I’d much prefer a country on the upswing, but we will see where I end up.

Wow if this goes through I've got a great idea for a soft drink!
I think one Coca-Cola will probably beat you to it.

They probably already have all the infrastructure still there, either dormant, or just ready to be repurchased.

I'm sure if this actually happens, they'll have lawyers, strategists, international people working on it.

I don't think this is a good thing (my opinion) but I'm a realist and this is how the world operates. Every opportunity is taken and every chance is seized by someone.

@Bekit These $0.16 Bic pens are fantastic! I have been writing for the better part of an hour non stop using one, and it has been excellent so far. In fact, my forearm is absolutely killing me, but the pen has remained as good as when it first came out of the package! I also like that it is see through, so I will know when the ink is out.

On a side note, I am so pumped to watch Top Gun Maverick. My wife doesn't want to watch it, but by golly I am going to pump the stereo up to 11 and sit as close as I possibly can to the screen. I am ready to have this US army propaganda shot straight into my brain tonight (if I can get the little tyrants to sleep that is). The idea of a movie that is actually shot on location and uses real footage and not just CGI is really exciting to me, go figure. Chances are it will be another week until I actually watch it, but fingers crossed.

So... I have a 55” flat screen TV with a crack that runs all the way across the screen... it was my girlfriend’s and her dog chewed on it the first week she bought it. She was going to throw it away but I said “no no no! Maybe I can find someone to fix it!”

It has been sitting in the corner of my room for months. Does anyone know if it can be fixed? I’ve called a dozen tech and electronic stores and nobody wants to try.

Bring it out to a field somewhere and shoot it.

Glad that's working out!

Side note: If your forearm is killing you after one hour, your ergonomics are off. My guess would be that your grip is tighter on the pen than necessary, and/or you are bearing down harder than necessary. The grip you've used all your life is going to be hard to break, but you'll thank yourself for it if you can retrain this.

This is the grip I use (not my video - just a good demonstration of the same technique I use):

This video is also a good overview of grip, posture and muscular movement when hand writing. (Watch on 2x speed. You're welcome.)

I will check those out!!

I ended up writing for nearly 2 hours today, and it felt like absolute murder on my arm! I figured it was due to me barely ever writing with any consistency over the last 20ish years. Writing to work, rather than being on a computer to work, was just amazing. I feel like I accomplished like a weeks worth of work in 3ish hours. 0 distractions, 100% on, 100% focused production. It was really cool. I took like a 5 min break where I wrote my post and grabbed some water, and that is about it during that time.

Today was a good day. I slept through my alarm. Had my son jump on me at 7am and we played and wrestled until 8ish when my daughter joined in. Then we all just messed about giggling and wrestling until like 8:30. Made them all breakfast. Took my wife to an appointment, got home and did lunch with the family. Cracked out an insanely productive work session, wife got called in to work tonight so I spent it with the kids again. No problem with her going in to work as I can help out and handle dinner and stuff.

Can't have a day like this if I was gone at some 9-5, that is for sure!
