Eventualy I would like to build a big steel building as a shop, probably 50x100, with a lift. That way I can collect and work on classic Mercedes, and host Mercedes club meets. I could also store the Chris Craft barrel back I plan on buying, and maybe a Garwood.
I'd like to get a:
560SEC AMG Hammer with the 6L 4 valve motor.(with my 300SDL this would mean I have both a W126 and a C126)
500E
450SEL 6.9
300SEL 6.3
600, Simply one of the best cars ever made by anyone.
All in matching Mercedes 904 blue like my SDL.
190SL in Mercedes racing silver.
The 6.3, 6.9 and 600 are scary expensive cars to own. Heck a seat switch on one is $1,500, the fuel distributer is $35k! But the reward is you get what at the time was the best built and designed car that any amount of money could buy. They are like a fine wine only getting better with age.
I'd also like a silver W140 S600. This way I can line up 4 generations of the S class, as they say you have to collect them all.
I also want a G class or Range Rover for off roading, camping, and towing the boats/none running cars.
None Mercedes cars:
An early production Jaguar XKE, in British racing green. I think they are more pure than the later ones.:fastlane:
A late air cooled Porsche.
Bugatti Type 35
Oh and a Bentley Turbo R, so the Jag will have some leaky British junk to keep it company. Fantastic and charming junk though!
I'd also like some sort of Ferrari just once. If I can afford it a Ferrari 365 GTS/4 Daytona. I also love the 355 coupe, and I wouldn't mind a 512TR. If money is no object I would cough up the $10m for a 250GTO in a heartbeat.
As for daily drivers I'll stick with a Ford or Chevy pickup, and keep a modern diesel Mercedes for when I'm not working. Since classic cars cannot be taken out when the weather is foul or salt is on the roads you need a modern car. As you can tell I'm a Mercedes nut, good Mercedes are like aircraft, as long as you keep fixing them they will go forever. I also prefer older cars. I hate traction control and flappy padal gear box's with a pashion.
Right now I'm looking into buying one of these to add to the SDL; 190D. I want a Ponton!
If money is no object:
So sexy, nothing barks like Weber carbs!
