I cannot stress this enough.

Stop trying to make social media your business when it simply is a marketing channel.

I mentioned this before, by back in the day I was growing the TMF FB page at a great clip. Then suddenly, FB stop showing my posts and continually nagged me to "pay to play" ... now take a look at how many people of those 160K get to see what I have to say (within 30m).

If you have a YouTube channel that is growing spectacularly I'm warning you -- start offloading / monetizing your list and your audience into a VENUE you can control. At some point, you can expect the algorithm to TURN AGAINST you where even your subscribers, aren't showed YOUR CONTENT.

I actually saw this post, just didn't interact with it any way. So I'm wondering if the analytics aren't faulty in some way.

Either way, Facebook sucks for marketing and I wouldn't base my business on any of their properties, including Facebook Ads alone or Instagram (it's quickly becoming as ridiculous in reach as Facebook).

Well said. Control is a very underrated aspect.

I run an online business with barely any presence online (including social media.) In fact the business relies on the fact that other companies publish so much of their data/content online in a manner that they do not control.
