I haven’t been very active on the forum lately business has been nonstop, but I’m really glad I rediscovered it. Big thanks to MJ as well, getting the notification again was a good reminder to get back involved!!
I’m currently running a home service business and we only do window and gutter cleaning (window screen services like cleaning, replacement, retightening as an upsell mostly as well). This is my main business and primary focus everything else I do is just a side hobby when time allows (side coding projects, cooking, learning, reading etc).
A big reason for my success so far is sales. Before this, I was in roofing sales, and I’ve found that a lot of those skills translate extremely well to exterior cleaning. I’m strong on the phone, good at quoting, upselling, handling objections, and customer service. Converting inbound leads and increasing ticket value is my biggest specialty. I was very impatient in my learning process for sales and wanted to learn everything all at once. This is how I am feeling for my ads. My facebook and google ads are where im struggling most.
I’m not great with Facebook Ads or Local Service Ads, and I know that’s a bottleneck right now. I’d love to hear from anyone who’s cracked paid ads for local home services, what worked, what didn’t, and what you’d recommend focusing on first.
I’m also very open to skill trades. If you’re solid with ads and could use help with sales scripts, phone flow, quoting systems, upsells, or customer experience, I’m more than happy to trade value for value. I'm sure there are other things I know that could be of value too. I love learning and that is the most important thing in entrepreneurship. I want to stay ahead by constantly learning.
