Hi guys and gals,

I'm currently building a new website and finished almost all my main pages.

My main income from the website will be from 1 product and affiliate products that go hand in hand with that product.

I have no clue how to grow my website asap and make it famous.

I have around 10 pages and will need seo help for everything except the installation of yoast ofcourse. I did that myself in the mean time.

Now my million dollar question is:

What outsourcing products do i need to pick from freelance websites to grow my website asap?

I see a bunch of products like white hate, back link, complete packages, etc

Anyone has experience with specialists or the exact packages i should pick?

I browsed fivver, upwork, freelancer.

Should have known that information was important. I'm working with the wordpress plugin which is hosted through a hosting company. The theme i have installed is a studiopress genesis child theme which i managed to configure and modify almost completely. Still need some design tweaks here and there. I also found a very helpful speed optimization and seo guide but unfortuantely i'm having a very hard time with seo.

I think i need a digital marketing expert or a full seo support to launch my website to boost traffic and start actual revenue.

I'm even thinking about copy right and people who can write new articles for me including doing the seo of it.

Ideally i want to outsource someone who can do all this and help me get my website booming.

For free SEO, I’d go with Yoast.

Beyond that, I’m of little use. @eliquid is the SEO master here.

Hey @Unleashed - Welcome to the forum.

If you don't know which products you need, be VERY slow to pay money for things that promise to grow your website asap.

There are too many people out there who will separate you from your money while never delivering on the promise.

Here's a link to eliquid's posts: https://www.thefastlaneforum.com/community/search/27470430/

In a nutshell, here's what you need in order to grow fast:

1. Your product actually solves a need. If the product is bad, you can still make sales through rockstar marketing, but you can't sustain those sales over time, because negative word of mouth will eventually outpace clever marketing.

2. Aggressive advertising. The bigger your budget, the more you'll be able to put your offer in front of people until you reach the "tipping point" where it start to take off on its own. Implied in this:
  • The advertising WORKS - you get a solid ROI
  • You have world-class copy
  • There's great synchronization between the copy on the ad and the copy on the landing page that they click through to view (Here's a great resource that will help you learn how to build amazing landing pages: https://unbounce.com/landing-page-examples/22-brutally-honest-landing-page-critiques/ The designs are a bit dated, but the core principles will open your eyes to know what you're looking for and evaluate new designs effectively.)
  • You're not going to get this from a tool or an app that you can just "plug in and forget it"; you're only going to get strong results from either learning the field and doing it yourself or hiring an adwords expert.
3. Killer SEO. Earning a spot on page one of Google is a much, much more difficult thing to do than it was in, say, 2008. Forget about black hat SEO. In order to be visible, you absolutely need to have world-class content that's better than anything else on the internet in your niche, great site architecture, numerous backlinks, and schema markup on your site where it's relevant. Start with info from Brian Dean, Neil Patel, Moz, and Marie Haynes. The gold-standard tools in this domain are ahrefs and semrush (either one is great). But this is something that you have to pair with your brain, your knowledge base, effective keyword research tactics, great content, and persistent backlink outreach to get the most use out of it. It's work, and there are no tricks, gimmicks, or hacks to get there.

4. Phenomenal Social Media. Be strategic about this, because you only have so much time and budget. Where does your audience hang out? What do they want to consume? Which platform gives you the best chance to show off your product? Do it well, and social media can be your friend. Do it poorly, and social media can be a massive loss of time and money.

5. Email marketing. Email marketing is still the mechanism that brings in the most money. Why? Because if you get someone's email address, you can prompt THEM by showing up in their inbox. You don't have to wait for them to come visit YOU. Done well, email marketing is a powerful way to build a following, provide value, and create cash on demand. (Again, done poorly, email marketing is useless.)

6. Non-digital marketing. Depending on your product, some of the old-school marketing methods may be the most powerful ones for you to get the word out. This can range from radio ads to direct mail to distributing fliers in your local area. It can also include methods like sponsorships (study Red Bull's tactics), PR, and TV ads, if you have the budget for it.

Sound overwhelming? I've written this in a comprehensive way to hopefully make it clear that there is no shortcut. There is no app or tool that does this process for you. There is no "hack" for effective marketing done well. Even the very best marketers sometimes try things and they fail to work. Marketing is hard. "Growing really big really fast" is what everyone wants... but if it was easy to have it for the taking, everyone would grow really big really fast. Be suspicious of any salesperson who promises you this.

Here's what I would consider a realistic scenario for someone who is bootstrapping their marketing.

First 6 months
1. Your website is brand new, so SEO is non-existent. Run ads or you won't have traffic.
2. Build 5-10 amazing pieces of skyscraper content over the course of those 6 months so that your site starts to rank for your best keywords (the ones that show the most buying intent). Do outreach to request backlinks.
3. Also, invest in your social media following over those 6 months by releasing great, fun, entertaining, engaging content around your niche. Drive people to your skyscraper content and your product.
4. Court JV partners so that you can run your product to borrowed lists. Have some killer copy for your sales page and email sequence when you do this.
5. Try to appear on podcasts. Interview the most respected leaders in your niche. Share value, value, value, and more value with your audience.

6-12 months
Now your organic rankings and word of mouth may be getting some traction. This may allow you to scale back on your ad spend and still get the same results. You are still earning the right to be heard. You are still growing. Keep investing in all the activities that will foster growth.

All the best to you!

I thank you for the time you have spend replying to me with all these details.

Unfortunately all this SEO makes me kinda of sick and depressed before i even start.

I know how hard it has become compared to 10 years ago and i just rather give this work to someone experienced instead of myself.

Before i know it, it will drive me crazy (again) and i will give up like i did 1 year ago. Hence my website is already 2 years online but never got me anywhere because of this SEO/traffic problem.

It's really sad :( and i had enough of it and want to make a change.

I have a plan, i executed 70% of it, and still there is something in my way that destroys all of it.

Blame it on google or the competition or whatever i know i did an effort at least. I tried.

I read a best selling SEO book, SEO guide, and i'm just fed up with it if you understand where i'm coming from.

So if throwing 100-250€ per month is not a problem what would you suggest me.

Btw: i currently have a job 9 to 5 so it would be actually nice to outsource this stuff

( The link doesn't work: Here's a link to eliquid's posts: https://www.thefastlaneforum.com/community/search/27470430/ )

Bummer, I'm sorry to hear that this has been such a brutal journey for you!

Sounds like you just want to hire someone to do this for you.

In that case, what's stopping you from researching a great SEO expert and bringing them on to do the work? Is that all you need to do to solve this?

Well yeah that's what i'm probably going to do.

I need someone to finish the design of my website.

I need a seo expert but i need more than that probably because i think i need more content. Copywriter??

I need a mobile app developer.

Maybe a digital marketing expert?

Anyway i was eager to know if someone here had some advice about this. Before i start throwing my money at random people.

Investing for your own project is fine if you can afford it.

It will take a lot of frustration off my shoulders i think.

OP, can you wait 2-3 years? If so, head down SEO route. If not, go PPC.

A little dated, but still applies a lot.

It can take 2-3 years to rank for SEO for most people, on most terms:
Domain Age For SEO Is EXTREMELY Important

.

Well my domain is already 2 years old now heading towards the third year. If going down seo route what would you advice me?

In that case, I'd start digging into the terms you want to rank for and watching their SERPs.

Let say one of your terms is "Grinch Christmas Lights".

What is that SERP doing? How does that SERP "live and breathe"? What's fluctuating in that SERP daily over time?

That's not the end all, but it's a start.

When you look at your competitors in that SERP, notice any trends daily?

Maybe its:
  1. Most of the top rankers have at least 3,000 words on their ranking page
  2. Most of them are 5-9 years of age
  3. Most of them link out to other websites 4-11 times
  4. They include images and downloadable resources on the page
  5. The content has been updated 3-6 times over the years
  6. The landing page does well in social media ( likes, tweets, etc )
  7. The author is well known, has authority ( writes on other top news publications, etc )
You need to start finding the trends of your SERP and then matching and exceeding those.

That is where you should start, but again its not the end all solution.

This is what i mean i don't know where to start. Do you have any helpful guide for this? Btw yoast free version only allows you to work with 1 keyword per page if i'm not mistaking. What do you suggest?

I don't want to know the meaning of SERP. That was not my question. Re-read my reply to understand. I was curious if eliquid means using a tool like MOZ for instance... You are not really helping with that LMGTFY link that's just plain out wise guy behavior thanks for the try though.

You need to be watching your SERP daily, getting a feel of what it is doing.

Why?

Because rankings fluctuate locally and globally. What it takes to rank in Payday Loans will be different for what it takes to rank for Dog Collars.

So what you should do is:
  • Most of the top rankers have at least 3,000 words on their ranking page
    • Go to your keyword SERPs, open each landing page listed, take note on each's sites word length. You can copy the text and paste it into WordCounter - Count Words & Correct Writing. What's the average you get after all this? Beat that
  • Most of them are 5-9 years of age
    • Look up each one in a whois service. Find out the age of each. Whats the average? You may not be able to beat that.
  • Most of them link out to other websites 4-11 times
    • Go back and look at all the content again. Are they linking out? If so, how much? Whats the average? Try to beat that
I won't continue on, I am sure you can see a pattern here.

Your job as an entrepreneur is to solve problems. So if you don't know how to do this stuff, you need to figure it out and many times the answer is just plain ol work and taking notes and spending time in your SERP and finding trends and commonalities.

You are going to have to put in the work and time, and the effort and note taking to figure out what's making your SERP tick. You might find things I haven't listed here, you might find things that don't make sense, you might find things you can't get answers too.. but you will have to find the solutions.

There isn't one tool ( like Moz ) that will do this for you. Good SEO's don't even use a lot of tools. They might use bits and pieces of different tools sets, but mostly they watch and follow what Google is already providing them, data in the SERPs.

Your job is to find out what that data is. And then figure out how to get it and use it.

We can't tell you what it is.

Instead of thinking there is a tool out there, you need to learn how to do this without a tool. A tool will just be a crutch for you and not teach you how to rank a website.

This might sound dumb, but it really comes down to you just checking into Google daily. It's that simple.

If you really want to rank and learn, you'll just go to Google.com every day and take notes on your keyword and what the sites in that keyword are doing.

Keep it in an excel sheet.

After a week or a month, keep looking at what's happening in your notes.

I designed SERPWoo for this ( my SaaS ), but even my tool isn't going to print out the secrets for you. You still need to learn how to digest the information it collects and gives you, just like you would if you did this in Excel.

It's not the data collection that is hard, any tool or VA could do this for you. A good SEO will be able to look at the data and connect the dots/trends and use those to their advantage.

How good are you at connecting the dots when the RAW data is right there in front of you?

That is what is going to make all the difference. Nothing else matters.
