Hi,

I just had an email that looked like it came from Amazon.

lGMsToU.png

I didn't purchase a 32Gb iPad so immediately hopped on to "Cancel Order".

The next page asked for my Amazon username and password. I entered them and went to the next page.

Which asked for my credit card details and billing address.

Whoa.... hold on. You should already know that?

I looked at the URL... and it wasn't Amazon (it was http://topinfosource.com/amazon).

The URL in the email above isn't Amazon either.

I then log into Amazon.co.uk properly, and check my orders. As suspected, no order has been placed.

I've since changed my Amazon password.

(Of course, there's no simple way for me to message Amazon to tell them about this...)

Take care out there folks!

A similar scam came my way recently as well actually, from "iTunes". Saying it needed all of my info as my account was being "updated" and was unable to be used until I did so etc blah blah. I almost bit it as well, but it seemed strange. Soooo I did some digging by logging in first off, and buying an album, realizing it wasn't true and digging into the sender some more. Definite fakes. Dirty bastards, always looking to throw a guy through a burning hoop that he cannot fit through lol

I just got a email similar to this today from EA games saying there was a account info change and i need to correct it. But i havent played video games since 2009-2010 so i automatically knew it was a scam. The email looked super legit tho.
