I have a client who lives in the US. He wants a website developed for a restaurant using WordPress. He is unable to send the money to India, saying that the bank charged him previously when he sent the money through PayPal.

This is what he says:

Kindly contact a representative or relative/friend who lives in the USA.
TO HELP you receive the payment by check ...

NOTE; The payment will deliver in 24hours .

Can someone receive the money on my behalf and then send it to me through PayPal?

Just do it with crypto.

Facilitate transfer on KYCed accounts for people you do not know week brings AML risks.

Heck, I live in Brazil and get payments from the US.

Use Payoneer, Wise, Paypal, Stripe, any of those are possibilities.

Sounds like he's trying to rip you off. Nobody's bank will advise against paypal and there are many other platforms you can use.

Just move on, tell him you're sorry but you can only accept payment in the traditional way. If he genuinely wants your services, he'll find a way to pay you.
