I wanted to highlight some threads that showcase people taking real action, creating real value and building real businesses.

Believe it or not, there are people here who are determined to build successful businesses. People who understand that it takes work and are focusing on the process. People who are tapping into the goldmine of wisdom, experience and success found in this forum.

Be sure to also pay attention to a lot of the advice, feedback and input given by 'high speed' members on the above threads. They've built a great reputation on this forum for the quality of their advice, the action they've taken, the success in business they've earned, the wisdom they've shared, etc. You may read something that will help you in your situation.

Great list Allen. In the next couple of days I will be resigning from my 60-70 hour a week sales job with great income to focus on my own personal Fastlane. This compiled list is a great resource. Thanks!

Thanks Allen. As soon as I land on my path I will absolutely be starting a progress thread. All of the progress threads on here have helped me more than I can explain. I can only hope, succeed or fail, that a progress thread of my own can help lead someone in my own shoes further down the path of success.

When it comes to business, I am a whore. I’ll flirt with one idea, find it is too difficult, or worse “something else will catch my eye,” or will seem easier to break into, so I’ll jump onto that one. None of the ideas I have for going into business seem to be absolutely perfect. There’s always something that stops it from being the perfect way to get rich. One idea allows me to do what I love but won’t make me much money. Another thing will make me good money, will allow me to travel and work from anywhere in the world, but might not be all that exciting. While other ideas represent power and money, but take up a lot of time, and won’t allow me to travel the world as I’d like to, at least, not in the beginning.

Not only that, but I’m constantly battling doubts such as “I don’t have business smarts, I’m not a fast talker/thinker, it would take up all my time, it wouldn’t be fun, it would mean having to learn a whole new skill which would take way too much time.” The result is frustration and analysis paralysis. I end up not doing anything. When it comes to business, just how he writes in The Millionaire Fastlane , you have to be monogamous, and really commit to one thing (of course, I can’t speak from experience).

Wholesaling real estate is really where I’d like to start, I’m just so afraid I’ll give up, waste my time, and ultimately end up “realizing” it’s not what I thought it would be. This puts the pressure on even more. I’m 23 years old, and time feels like it’s slipping away fast, yet I still can’t stop F*cking around. Whether I’m F*cking around by dressing up every morning to look my best, watching feel good mental masturbation/motivational vidoes, and writing down my goals every day, or whether I’m F*cking off by watching tv, jerking off, and just hanging out, the result is the same, I’m not getting anywhere.

There has to be a commitment to something, anything, and then the decision to pursue it no matter what. It’s hard to have any credibility or trust in myself with a track record like mine: quitting. Wrestling, football, college, martial arts, countless jobs, affiliate marketing, I’ve quit them all. I even tried to quit the Navy once by trying to get out of my contract (that worked out horribly).

It always starts the same:a high level of interest in the beginning, followed by a grim reality check of what it’ll take to succeed, followed by “let’s try something else, this is too (fill in the blank).” Choose one thing or another, and stick with it, through the good and the bad.

Sticking with it, that’s the part I always take lightly. It sounds like it could be easy, and I can even imagine myself working hard at it. But the reality soon hits, maybe it’s not as exciting as I thought it would be (what’s exciting about editing a rough draft for the tenth time, or driving around leaving notes in people’s doors saying “I want to buy $$$ your house”?) I’ve always taken this part lightly. But the funny thing is, how else could it be? If it were fun, everyone would be doing it, everyone would be rich. It’s work, it’s disguised as a boring mundane task, but it’s work. It doesn’t feel like it because I’m not getting paid a penny to do it, and that’s what sucks, it feels like I’m doing something I really don’t want to be doing, and I can’t seem to remember why I’m doing it. I feel like I could be doing something so much more enjoyable with my free time (like watching Netflix), but instead I’m doing a task that makes me yawn a lot, and feel frustrated.

This has been my biggest challenge in breaking into the field of entrepreneurs, I still have trouble getting behind the idea that, in order to break in, I have to work without expecting any immediate reward, and that means doing stuff that’s not particularly fun, on my free time. I want to be rich, I want to be successful. So do the seven billion other people on the planet. But until I’m willing to work for free, and really get shit done, I’ll never get rich. It’s like that story of the dog lying on the nail, it just doesn’t hurt bad enough for me.

I'm on mobile, but on some of the links (7th and 8th from the top on OP's post @AllenCrawley are returning a "file not found" error)

@MJ DeMarco
Fixed those two links for you. However, it seems most of the links are not working. If/when I get some time I'll update the links.
