Hi everyone.
It’s been a few months since my last post:
Thankfully, I didn’t completely waste that time. But there are also a few things that really bother and drain me - I’ll get to those in a moment.
Over the past few months, I’ve been working on my YouTube channel. It started completely spontaneously, but as someone with ADHD, I decided to stick with it no matter what - kind of as a personal test. In just four months since monetizing the channel, I managed to earn five times the minimum wage in my country. That was a big shock to me. The international market must be crazy, considering I’m only operating locally.
During that time, I gained almost 10,000 subscribers. It’s faceless content. It brings me a kind of satisfaction, and I’ve had to learn a lot, but... I’m feeling a bit tired and burned out. I worked on the channel almost every day after long shifts at my corporate job.
I also tried selling a product (candles - loosely related to the channel’s theme). I hoped the channel could become a sales channel too. But the response was minimal. Nobody clearly expressed any interest in buying. There were a few survey comments, but they weren’t really related to the product at all.
Besides YouTube, I also produced a batch of the product I had in mind - something I thought the market would accept. But as it turned out, quite brutally, there wasn’t even a single concrete inquiry, let alone a sale. I had a landing page. I ran a Facebook ad campaign for about three weeks. Aside from two likes, nothing happened.
YouTube became a nice creative outlet. But the product project was the one I really tied my hopes to. The vision of freedom and breaking away from the corporate world filled me with energy and optimism. When that didn’t work out, I felt like a flat tire.
I’m still in the corporate world, and it’s wearing me down. That “nail” MJ DeMarco talks about is starting to really sting, and I have to do something about it. Where I live, I’m on a work contract that gives me some opportunities. I’m seriously thinking about quitting, but I want to use the system to my advantage before I go.
I came up with an idea to buy an apartment to rent out - through a mortgage, since I already have a place to live. So here’s my question for you:
Does this seem like a smart move right now?
I know real estate markets vary across countries, but based on my calculations, depending on the loan amount, the rent could cover the mortgage. With a bigger loan, I’d need to top it up by around $200-250 a month.
I’m honestly feeling lost with all of this. My long-term plan is simple: once this is sorted out, I want to quit my corporate job and maybe find something new. A fresh stimulus. Right now I feel stuck, mentally empty. Maybe there’s just not enough going on in my life at the moment to identify real problems I could solve for others.
Should I just grit my teeth and keep going? The corporate job gives me some stability and flexibility. I have a few days off each month just for myself. But it also drains my energy. Some days I feel deeply frustrated, wondering what I’m even doing here.
Yes - another round of complaining.
These unbearable, yet somehow comfortable chains of modern-day slavery.
Thanks to anyone who made it through this whole post. My previous topic helped me realize that the last project wasn’t worth it. It was a Sisyphean task. And in the end, it saved me a lot of time.

Start. Start posting and seeing if you can get views. No point wondering when to present an offer if you can't get any views.
You asked about showing your face. We don't need to show our faces. Stop worrying about it. If you don't want to show your face then don't. Just start.
You don't need a landing page yet. You haven't put anything out there yet. I'd be more interested in getting comments on posts/videos and engaging in the comments.
And I'm not restricting it to TikTok videos. Maybe you go into that community you found and start helping people there. That sounds like...
