Either someone is using her for this whole crypto thing and she's just the face (likely), OR, the whole thing was all setup from the very beginning, starting from when she did the hawk tuah interview to landing podcasts (I read that one of the Logan brothers was managing her podcasts or something), to creating this HAWK coin lol

Did anyone else see that the Canadian government added some 300 extra guns to it's banned list? They also plan on sending confiscated firearms to Ukraine.

That's exactly what they need to win their proxy war, some 5 round underpowered Canadian citizen firearms, that at best are semi-auto. Look out Russia!

So in a few short years Canada has decided to confiscate their citizens property, and now send it to a foreign company at extra expense. Great. Meanwhile doing zero to actually combat the growing concern of illegal firearms and actual gang violence in our large cities.

2025 is going to be awesome though. My dependence on a location and a country is going to go to zero. I'm several years behind schedule, but it's a distinctive probability in a very short time frame now.

I have an idea about a very rudimentary but powerful music-making software, since all the very simple “music-makers” are either way too complicated or too simple for newbies to make good music. By simplifying the language (and the layout) used to describe different aspects of the software the average person would be less lost when using the program.

Basically just less messy FL Studio, which sounds great to me, because I got lost the moment I downloaded it.

FL is awful and confusing. I had to use it for a bit and my experience with it was super frustrating.

If you haven't yet, give Ableton a try. The UI is way better, the way you add FX modules to the tracks makes more sense, and the way the MIDI clips work all make it light years better than FL.

Lol, I literally just bought FL about a month ago. I couldn't be happier with it. I've integrated it with Toon Track drum software and guitar/bass effects, and I've been recording full songs (minus vocals) so far.

I am a complete Newbie with this stuff, but the results have absolutely blown me away with what is possible. To my ears my home recordings sound literally 10x better than what I grew up listening to. And 1000x better than Metallica's St. Anger album which I've never been able to actually listen to.

Ha, hey if it works for you then it's good enough! FL works so opposite to how my brain operates that I just couldn't stand using it haha.

I'd say your ears are 100% spot on. The quality of modern production software is insane. You can literally create studio-grade tracks in your own home with free or relatively cheap tools these days.

And St. Anger... all I can say is LOL

Just going to take any excuse to post this I love it

2 hours recording in a bedroom

The song currently has 1.7billion plays on Spotify

These SaSS platforms are all the same, from Webflow to Framer to Wix and more lol
Good luck!

Trudeau is one of the wokest politician the world has ever seen.
I hope they can confiscate Canadians' assets/properties and send some my way!

I just found out about that! They must’ve beaten me to it D:

I wouldn't normally post links to my stuff in the main thread.

I wanted to show you how much of a super power even just an understanding of basic Maths is.

I'm not using anything more advanced than percentages here, but being able to interpret numbers like this will put you way ahead of the competition.

Today's video:

Been following some of Jason Cohen's stuff lately; he is the founder of WP Engine and had a successful exit before that. Definitely gives me MJ-style writing vibes/thought process.

This is worth a quick read - he basically proposes that reputation is basically meaningless, offering little advantage when launching a new startup.

If I understood you correctly and your living expenses will be covered, you will have food, place to sleep and clothes, then why do you even need a job?

Use this time to start something or work on your already started projects. If you need some money for your projects, then for example, get a job where you are paid in cash.
It "helps," but we're talking maybe $200/wk. Looking at the cash options.

Why would it ruffle feathers? I'd say getting a trade is better than most degrees out there. And who cares what others think anyway?

As for earning on the side... why does it have to be a j.o.b.? Can you do anything online? You have access to the internet and probably access to a laptop/computer.

What about helping local tradesmen/trades businesses with their Google My Business listing, website, reviews, chatbots, content, videos, ads, etc?
I'm here hoping for ideas outside of a j.o.b - I hate to use the word "hustle," but that's basically what I'm asking about here. Checking out some of the old Gold & Notable threads about this sort of thing, but income is a huge issue in staying in this program. I'm trying to see if self-employment or a commission-only sales job would be loopholes I can fit in, but past that, it's "small" cash-only hustles.

The "helping local tradesmen" bit is slick, and I'd love to do it - but again, don't wanna jeopardize my spot in case this is somehow a no-go.

It wouldn't be a job. Help some business setup something online. Get paid $100/mth (or more or less). There isn't even an hourly rate for something like that.

I dunno. I do think too many influencers hark on about personal branding as if it's the end goal, and that too many people are focused on growing their personal brand instead of adding value.

The article does smack a bit of sour grapes though. Just because there's stories of how growing an audience didn't help make sales doesn’t mean it can't be done.

Much appreciated!

Definitely gonna look at it, but I gotta stress again, at this point in time I have no clue whether that satisfies the program's requirements. Freelance work may be the loophole, it might not be. If my case worker was ever in their office instead of working from home, I might be able to get ahold of them more often than once a month and figure it out...

Anyway, sincerely, I appreciate the multiple replies on this one, Andy. I'll keep you guys posted on how this all goes down.

Hi guys,

Hope everyone is doing well, I came to an important revelation this week. I quit high school early because I didn't like the way of teaching. After a year of working stupid jobs I got into a study but again, I quit. Now I have finished one degree in the past few years but this was more of an apprenticeship. Last week I started a new course and I realized how little I actually know about my industry! I must have read 100's of books in the past few years on the most diverse subjects but it's not the same as paying €2500,- for a course.

I realize that I created a certain hatred against any education, make sure you don't do the same! I happen to learn about construction and sustainability but you might want to learn about marketing or let's say industrial machines, there is so much high quality stuff online these days! You truly can become an expert if you put your mind and focus towards it. Some of you will probably say "Duh", I think social media had created this mental barrier for me with all the Ultra Yacht high school dropout's ;). Hope this helps anyone.

I know I shouldn't be talking about this, however, I'm totally convinced that our PM was dropped as a kid.

It's like surveying family/friend/random people about about your "business idea." Just because "everyone loves it!" in concept doesn't mean they'll shell out real money for the real product.

It also doesn't mean they won't. Having an audience is like having a list of people who responded positively to your idea survey. If you executed well and are offering something with real value it can help you scale. It just isn't enough to ensure success.

Looks like Verizon is another company that has been completely enshitified. These aholes are as bad as Intuit and Adobe, from customer service reps that can barely speak English, to pushing off any type of culpability in their failures, as if, I am responsible for their website not working and not able to complete the most basic operations.

I am now over 1 hour on the phone with these morons....

At which time, I've been told a dozen times "Don't worry sir we take care of the problem."

After an hour on the phone the problem wasn't fixed, despite the assurances.

Twitter/X has been over run with people asking for engagement. "What do you notice about this photo?", "Rate my setup.", "What's your favorite text editor, and why is it VIM?", etc. It is tiresome. Convince me I'm wrong. :)

Why are you spending your life on Twitter/X? Are you expecting to get quality entertainment or something?

It is my only news/entertainment souce. I also plan to make some products for content creators, so I want to be familiar with how people were using it. These "please respond to my post" messages seem to be lowest form of content. A lot of people that should know better will make these inane posts beause they have nothing new to post that day, and they consider not posting anything to be worse. As more people make their living by posting to social media, we are going to get more and more of these posts. Someone could probably write a monetized article on how to filter out all these "prove to me", "convince me", "rate my", "who ya got" pander-posts.

I'm glad I'm off X now. I much prefer being on LinkedIn.

Just dived deeper that United Health claim denial rate is over 30 percent for health insurance. That’s pretty insane.

Anecdotally based on experience this figure is around 5-10 percent, largely due to non-disclosure of pre-existing medical condition.
