"Bali is cheap"

"I paid $700 a night"

Am I missing something here, or am I just too poor to understand ?
It depends greatly on if this house slept all 30 guests or just him and his wife, girlfriend or companion.

$700 per night is OOF

Leaders are not infallible. They stumble sometimes but that doesn’t mean they’re not capable of leading.

Are firms like BlackRock also banks?

Yes, BlackRock is a Bank.

They’re really not a retail bank like say US Bank. But they definitely buy and sell bonds, receive and hold deposits and loan money.

I mean my brokerage account like Interactive Brokers is technically a bank. I have a debit card that’s attached to my account.

then go buy up everything?

Monetary systems are financially engineered to bankrupt taxpayers, rob citizens and collect all the assets.

It’s only a matter of time until the elites escape the US in a Sikorsky helicopter to a private island while looking at binoculars out the window at burning tires and civil unrest because food and housing is too expensive and shelves at the store are empty.

This is why owning hard assets and knowing how to innovate or be self-sufficient is important.

Only thing that might getcha at that point are the property taxes.

Mine has increased 60% in two years thanks to school district levies that never end. I considered them relatively low when I moved into this state/county; now that looks to be a thing of the past.

It says “If you don’t know what to watch, look what you’ve become”

In Russian, look and watch in that context is one and the same verb, so it doesn’t look as punny in English )

The neighbors dog woke me up at 4am and i cant sleep. Its 5 am now. I see now why most violent crime is amongst neighbors anyway thought ranting here might help. Dog barks must be amongst the most disruptive sounds

I don't get why people travel in summer.

It's hot, expensive, full of people, full of plane disturbances and strikes, and if you live in a northern country, summer is the best time to enjoy it!

No joke.

We went on a trip just recently as it was the only time my fiancée could get off. Away from big cities, it was great. In Paris, however, I was reminded of how many people there are in the world. Cramming into metros, busses, blah blah. Everyone crammed into the museums, no matter how ridiculously huge the louvre and others are.

At least away from there we had some interactions with people that can't speak any English, and we got to use our French skills. But big cities are like an amusement park scaled up, with all the associated problems. It's overwhelming and too much.

Disgusting and takes away whatever fun there is, unless one likes to squeeze with sweaty strangers under burning temperatures in claustrophobia-inducing settings.

When I quit my job and left for europe pre-2020 I got to explore a lot of "touristy" areas further east (like croatia, etc.) in the off-peak season and it was fantastic. There were crowds but not packed in like that.

I warned my fiancee a bit about how Paris was, and she ended up realizing why I said what I said. We even got to see someone get robbed. But, off-peak I really liked Zagreb/Split/Bucharest and other places like Kiev, Cyprus, and Vienna (I'm forgetting others I'm sure).

Also @Antifragile I missed the Tour. We ended up further out and away and didn't make it into the center until the next day. It was still super packed there. So you got to enjoy the race on video then I hope.

If I’m trying to solve acne for young people, what’s a good way to prove your product solves their pain point?
Right now, I’m using the product I’m selling because I need to prove its effectiveness. My skin has gotten smoother and less red, and I’m recording the transformation process.

There’s one condition where it doesn’t work.

See, a big factor to my own acne was sugar, mainly chocolate, and I’ve since stopped eating chocolate and reduced sweet food intake to 20% of what I normally do (doesn’t include chocolate) in order to not be a hypocrite. The problem is if my customer uses my product and still consumes sweets, it doesn’t get better. It slows the spread down, but it can still get pretty bad.

How do I get my customers to make healthy life choices to see these results?
One data point isn't a solution.

To know if your diet works, you need to test it out on other people. If you want to test a cream or something on peoples skin you need to do proper testing, you can't go selling some random cream you've created to people.

Huh?

And literally two months off in summer, bruh. I don't think parents are calling their kid bruh, but whatever. You're got a rant to complete.

ChatGPT is now my go-to when it comes to solving business and personal problems.

1. Always available.
2. Never gets mad.
3. Won't get jealous, or try to have a bad influence on you.
4. More knowledgeable than anyone I know.
5. Won't judge me.
6. Remains partial.

I am paying $20/month for this, but it's worth IMHO at least $100.

I wasn't going to say anything when you first posted this, but it is the rant thread and your recent posts here have my eyes rolling so hard I'm dizzy.

You really value human friendship so much that you pay a robot to be your bestie?

My besties are priceless, but I guess this explains your disdain for humans who travel at times you find problematic.

It's not about what *you* think

Huh. Interesting...

Istg, I just love when @BizyDad completely out of the blue exposes/critically questions someone:rofl:

Btw, you're so cool and funny, Bizy!
Please never expose me

Don't be like me, bro.

Be better. ;)

How high will interest rates go? I remember when they were at 16% in 1981.
Over 100% inflation rate is inevitable one day, so… there’s really no limit to the interest rates in nominal terms.
