Honestly, maybe I just want to kind of went here right now, but also get feedback on my plans.
I have been developing this simple, yet very innovative physical product. The plan is to release 3D printed version (I have 6 3D printers), and sell enough 3d printed versons at profit like 3-5€ till I can afford an injection mold and assembly service. Yes, this means selling like 300 of 3D printed version.
Is this a good idea? I am following the idea of not investing 1000s for an injection mold, if i am not sure about the demand for my product.
I constantly find myself thinking "BRO! Will they actually buy this 3D printed piece of Sh?" Tell me, does the marketmind care? I gess I should know it doesn't...
I have redesigned it like 50 times. Its deffinetly functional, I only need to test few details, or rather improvements I did. I have basically 4 versions of this product 2 types of 2 sizes. I can do split testing immediatelly this way. I gues they are as ready as a 3D printed product can be. But the important question is: Is it sensible to maybe keep using some glue on the parts for now? Should I just move on to selling an imperfect product for now? I guess yes.
I want to use free social media marketting, start with simple short forms on all platforms, make posts in relevant forums and groups. For shop I will make a shopify store. That's really it for now. I have logo, limited footage, finished prototipes to take pictures of, "historical" footage from the begining of starting this, "ancient" failed designs to perhaps showcase for fun.
I have not made any social media for this brand, no marketing done yet. What is the best way to START marketting this SPECIFICALLY only for the goal of selling one product and therefore hard validating this?
So my plan(till june ideally) for validation and getting it of the ground is: bathc of 5 each of 3D printed product ---> sell 1x, validate --> keep selling 3d printed till enough revenue to injection mold ---> file for llc only somewhere now --> first mold ordered(i will find other ways to avoid tax problems till then)---> have a growing business.
Is that a good idea?
I love this prodict idea, what I plan for the brand if it is validated:
No idioticall hiring a business concultants and filling a LLC first, no startup begging for investments before validation. Simple, fun, normal, grounded. If it sells at all, I am fine, It can feed me, i can calmly work on this, right?

I love this prodict idea, what I plan for the brand if it is validated:
- Research papers on my product(allow doctoral students to come to me)
- Far more advanced products
- Geting it to retailers, all around the world
- Plushie with mascot, shirt, merch
- Fun short forms
- 2 email newsletter streams, one for B2B and one for B2C products(there will be both, by the nature of this product)
- Lots of videos with my face on youtube, solid brand
- Create comunity of people using this, have a lot of contact with my custommers
- Leave contact information or way directly to me on my website "If you have complaints, special requirements or just curious, contact the CEO"
