Alright so i procastrinate ALOT.

And to this day i still use social medial and short form content on them.

I will be documenting my progress of breaking that habit.

Summer is coming up and i dont want to waste time without school

The challenge will last 90 days (no i dont plan to return back to normal after 90 days)

The goal of this challenge i want to completely eliminate my internet addiction, get more focused and exercise more.

I realised ive improved my life alot but this habit always left for cople days and showed up again, never really broken it.

How am i going to break the habit? I will keep adding more good habits to my day so i wont have time for it (exericise more and build websites)
Basically i will not focus on getting disciplined, rather not having time for the habit.

Ill post atleast 1x per week. This isnt another fat guys gym new year resolution expecting progress in 1 week, ill progressively spend less and less time on it.

This thread is to make me more accountable, its time to quit playing around and get focused.
If i will not make DECENT progress during the 90 days, i will give away 100$ to randomly picked contributor to this thread.

Feel free to give me some tips i wont be angry :)

Here's my take:

The goals you've set for yourself are perfectly complementing each other. Why?

Exercise will improve your brain function, which will result in better focus (second goal), and more self-control which will allow you to break the addiction (first goal).

Best way to get into training is to turn it into a lifestyle. Start seeing yourself as an athlete. Lifting weights is the natural thing to do.

3 months is plenty of time to destroy those goals.

Let's get after it.

Great steps towards improving man. Let's add some numbers to this:
  • Weigh yourself, do a body fat percentage calculation & take some progress pictures
  • Record how much time you spend on YouTube. (you can see this from the activity).
Be conscious of these things as you go about day to day. Keep a record of them. I'll be following.

Make it $500 and randomly select me

Get the app “opal” it blocks certain apps and you can set custom schedules so you can’t even access the stuff, and you can create “breaks” which only last up to 15 minutes when you can use the apps.

Okay i will admit it, ive been skipping legs. Its been partially from knee pain but i havent done anything to fix it. My goal is now also to start exercising legs again.
I swear every time i see @heavy_industry posts its pure liquid :gold: pouring from my screen. I always have to clean my whole room after that. Its really annoying!

Okay im gonna weight myself, good idea thanks. I use Unhook youtube extension and its great! I really recomend it. (you can block comments, notifications, shorts, feed etc) really helped me, however i often just hop on a different email adress where the extension is gone. Let me instal it for all of them.

Take it very slowly.

Think long term.

Timeframe is 10-20 years into the future. You should be able to squat heavy in your 30s and 40s.

Use light weights until you master the technique. The first goal is to get into the habit of hitting the gym daily - becoming an athlete.

How about you start with doing 10 push-ups every time you read a reply on this thread.

Sometimes you just need a trigger and a simple exercise to start.

So every new thread you read is 10 push-ups or sit-ups or pull ups.

You can’t click on a new thread until you’ve done something .

Ive visited my grand parents.
Still havent found another website client, however @perchboy gave me some good tips on how to do so. Will try it tommorow. Thank you for sharing!

I havent got distracted on my PC because i was working in the living room and anyone could sneak up behind me and look what i was doing so it gave me some accountability. (i did check discord and this forum few times though)

I just realised i think i have decent foundation for the athelete identity, i havent eaten sugar in 2months and i can build on that.

Day 3
Alright so, day started pretty good.

I procastrinated on this on day 2 (i did it in the night lol) but i did this in the morning (shitty reps but i did it)

When you read this wake up before the sun rise tomorrow and do 20 burpees outside while taking sun light.

I scrolled on reddit and played video games for 3hours. I think the problem is, i have good enough level of discipline to resist the craving if im working on something, however if i dont know what to do i just end up there. I had no idea what to do today (kinda a lie, i should be doing outreach) But i kept making excuses why not outreach. New strategy: know exactly what you should be doing

Since i have no idea how to make good website, im making excel sheet of websites i think are good and convert.

I took progress photo for exercise, i will do grand reveal after 90 days.

I did exercised (a bit) though, also went on bike for 15mins.

I did went to sleep late, i will go to sleep at 21:30 today.

Plans for tommorow:
Outreach to atleast 20websites.
Go on bike
Watch videos about knee pain @Spenny (thank you) sent me, and do those exercises.

alright, i know what i will be doing tommorow, i will not make excuse like that. (make the excel sheet, outreach, bike, do exercises for knee pain)

DAY 4
So i woke up today with pain in my left elbow. Not sure if it was from exercising too hard or bad sleeping technique. But just to be safe i did just few pullups, pushups and lat raises. (weird to be honest, just 2 weeks ago i could exercise and barely feeling the pain, not sure whats going on, it could be that the filtered water in drinking doesnt have enough minerals for my joins??)
Also went on bike for my knees, felt awesome.

I did outreach to about 5 websites but even if they agreed i would have no idea what to do. Im kind of stuck, really gotta buy Fox web school as soon as possible.

I decided to just start making website make basic sketch, show it to the business and ask them if they would be interested. (sounds stupid i know, however now i wont seem like a fraud who has no idea how to do website, i want to get them really excited about it)

I did play stupid game on my phone and went on a scrolling spree in school, however after i arrived home i did the work i was supposed to (i did ended up scrolling on reddit once, but im still pretty happy w today)

Btw @A B S A R is also starting a 90 day challenge! You can see his documentation thread here
We decided to make this a race. Whoever achieves these goals first wins.

Fitness goals:
40 (STRICT) pushups
20 dips
15 pullups
1 muscle-up
cold shower for 2 months straight

Mental goals:
No scrolling for 2 weeks straight
No porn for 1 month straight
No fap for 1 month straight

Business goals: (we are both doing web design so we can have same goal)
Make 1000$ from web design

Plans for tommorow:
Build the basics of the website for my client
Have leg day (exercises that @Spenny sent me, for anyone interested watch this video)
Go on bike

If you're new to lifting weights or have taken an extended break from training, your entire system is untrained - not just the muscles.

Tendons, bones, and endocrine system.

Tendons and bones will have to adapt, alongside your muscles. They will get stronger (and bones denser) over the course of a few months.

Never push too hard in the beginning, and allow this process to gradually improve your skeletal strength. I would take advantage of this beginner phase to learn proper technique with moderate weights in the 10-20 rep range.

I would highly encourage you to ditch this goal and completely remove this exercise from your regime until you master your technique on other lifts.

This is one of the most dangerous exercises, it's almost always performed the wrong way, and can cause catastrophic shoulder injury that would set you back months, or even years.

Always think long term. This is going to be a long battle.

Good luck man!

Spot on. Most people don't realise that your bone density has to increase for higher and higher weights.

@heavy_industry do you think these excercises would be better? Triangle pressups (left) maybe a little difficult to do in the beginning, I know I couldn't do them when I first started. Or how about overhead tricep extensions (right) as an alternative?

No, they are both highly technical and not suitable for beginners - especially the triceps thing, because it's an isolation movement.

@farahead Here are the only exercises you need to do for the first 3-6 months:
  • PUSH
    • barbell bench press
    • dumbbell shoulder press
  • PULL
    • horizontal pull at some cables or machine
    • pullups
  • LEGS
    • light squats - master the technique
    • light deadlifts - master the technique

I'm 5 years into my training and this is still the core of my regimen. Results have been exceptionally positive.

Once you make it to the 6 months mark, send me a PM and I'll make you a custom program if you want.

Watched porn and jerked off today. (aaahh this makes full of shame) starting to read easy peasy for this topic. Whats very interesting is when i went to gym frequently i never struggled w porn. Like i channel ed the horny energy any teenager would had into exercising. Now that i dont do it that often its hard to resist the horny energy. Will have a good workout tommorow.
IF I EVER WATCH PORN AGAIN DURING THIS CHALLENGE I WILL HAVE TO REVEAL WHAT CATHEGORY I WATCH

Did the 20 buroees in the morning, had small leg day with exercises @Spenny sent me, also did some pullups

I cold emailed 10websites but realised it was kind of pointless (i have no proof of what i sell, im gonna make websites for family members / people who know people so i dotn look like a scammer.
Ended up cold calling (got rejected) however im proud i did it, i was nervous as hell lmao

Im not sure whats the next step for web design, i started reading 1000 000$ web by @Fox (now i know about the Connor McGregor cereal box lol, you rock Fox)

Dude.

This is a business forum. At a bare minimum, post this kind of garbage in the men's forum.

Personally, I'd landfill any "progress thread" that talks about jerking off or how horny you are. Good thing I'm not an admin... Lol.

As long as you perform them with proper form it wouldn't be a problem. Check the proper form on youtube.

Bodyweight exercises are a lot more technical than most people realize. It's very easy to damage your shoulders doing pushups the wrong way.

Hi! i have a great video to share about breaking bad habits.

Dr. K is a truly great and respected psychiatrist, lecturer on Harvard, specialized in addictions. What I personally love about him is the way he incorporates his knowledge and experience with eastern culture into his work. He’s my quite recent revelation tbh

I got recomened to use Opal chrome extension whitch blocks websites you choose for time you set and theres no way u can go around that blocker after that. (unless you uninstall it) What app are you using?

Oh dear Lord buddy what is this?

Stop posting daily updates if you have nothing business to talk about. Get serious or be quiet.

Tomorrow? Tomorrow?

Tomorrow is not promised to you. Tomorrow never comes buddy. Tomorrow is where the dreams of the inactive go to die. All you have is today.

But convincing your dad to spend money on you when you can't even be bothered to physically take care of yourself enough to exercise. You had a whole day of no school, you could've played games, exercised AND tried to convince your dad.

But here's the thing. Even if you do convince your dad, he'll be wasting his money because you won't take action.

So I have a better idea.

Why don't you take inspiration from any number of threads on here where school-age kids are making money.

And then save that money to do the Fox school if you want.

This forum is not a place for shortcuts and handouts.

It's for action takers and money makers.

You want to be taken seriously? You want to inspire other people? You want your dad to respect you and say yes to your ideas?

Learn to take action. Learn how to provide value. Learn how to ask for what you're worth.

From someone other than your father.

And stop with all the nonsense and crutches. You're mindfulness doesn't work because you don't want it to work. You're not committed to your success yet. You have it too easy.

It's time to start growing up and taking responsibility to make the things that you want to see happen happen.

Cool, but have you tried just making simple websites first? You can do a lot with free stuff and resources. Then from that you can use that money you get from client's to push yourself with the web school?

From the prospective of your dad, would he be convinced? Where is the evidence you won't just throw this away?
