Hey all!

As you can read I am having a little trouble determining how to find a want/need to be filled in the modern market.

I'm open to any and all ideas!

This is how my thought process for finding them is as of now
  1. Listening to complaints on the internet, google keywording things
  2. Whatever people love, I ask if I could improve it or make it easier
  3. Locally I listen to people's problems to think if I could solve it
If there's anything I could do better as far as determining a want/need I'd love to hear it

Cheers!- Grayson. J

1. Select a market.

Fitness
New Parents
Business Owners

2. Make friends with 50 of them

3. Spend 6 months of your life being friends with them, and surrounding yourself with them.

Get to know your market. Your job is to serve a market.

you do this by surrounding yourself with real people.

*Cliche Warning*

So the market I want to target, I must become it per say? I must learn the ins and outs of it and find problems and form bridges for a higher quality of life for said people in that market?

Theres a lot of things you can pick out of that, but generally..yes.

The first step is to select a market.

What types of markets are you interested in serving?

Can you think of a complementary product/accessory for a top-selling product?

What do you do more than once per day? What do you use more than once per day?

Are there any products/services that you use and complain about?

As you can read I am having a little trouble determining how to find a want/need to be filled in the modern market.

Read the Chapter(s) in UNSCRIPTED about value arrays, value attributes, and value competitions. These terms and concepts give you the ability to find needs/opportunities in virtually any industry.

There are so many different ways to go about this.

Personally, I think my way is perfect for a new entrepreneur. Find someone or some company doing something that you know you could see yourself doing well and model off of them. By model them, I don't mean completely jack there shit. I mean bring something unique, something that makes you different, and crush your competition. Then hire their employees!

Don't start googling though. I agree with limitless, even if you use this approach, you still have to select a market first and jump in bed with it. Only after you learn your market will you be able to service your market.
