Market Research Thread - Advice and tips here

I originally was going to post this a help thread for myself to expand my own knowledge. But i figured since I have been here for some time now I would start to contribute as well. We all know market research is essential. How do you do market research? What tips that you have learned and advice can you myself and others to make the it easier for others.

Any specific website you go to? Specific questions you ask others?

For me, one way is this. Going to google and typing in [Keyword here] site:domainurl.com

Example: [i wish i had] site:chacha.com comes up with:
