As the title suggests, I just turned 19 this February, and over the years have been able to save up around $140k. I've been working since i was 16, and have been making 6-12k every month for the last 2 years. You can even check back on my first post here where I kind of explained my situation at 17 with 60 grand saved up but feeling lost.
to be honest, since that post, I feel like I've genuinely made close to no progress. I started off editing videos online, and now I'm running a car detailing business which is making a steady 10k/month give or take.
the problem is, I haven't been able to break through this plateau and get to the next step. 20k/mo, 30k, eventually 100. I started my entrepreneurial journey because I was hooked on the idea of running a company and bringing in a shit load of money, but I found myself now doing a bunch of low leverage work, trading my time for money, and barely having a business at all.
over the short term, i really want to scale this business up to that 20-30k/month mark because I know its totally doable. i just genuinely don't know how.
my business at the moment is completely organic, so im doing no paid advertising - just getting leads from my google business listing, as well as referral's and recurring clients.
I guess running paid advertising would be my next step, but just about everyone I personally know who's tried running ads in this industry has had little to no success. maybe I just have a limiting mindset, but when the average ticket per job is around $200, I barely have space for ad spend in order to be profitable.
I also have just about 0 backend systems in place, no follow up system, no CRM, no referral incentives, etc
really by making this post, I'm just looking for some clarity and maybe some next steps/directions or advice on what i can do going forward. I'm totally lost and unsure on what to do next in order to grow this side hustle of mine and actually have a proper business in place with employees etc.
should i start running ads? integrate a crm? get a professional website? set up automations?
I've been really frugal with my money and always have been scared to risk it, but at this point i'm willing to make some changes because im really unhappy with the situation im in.
if anyone has some advice for me would be much appreciated!
