I feel it it squeezing perpetually from the inside. The pressure.
Wife at home hasn't worked for four years, 2 wonderful sons 3 and under, hefty $3,500 - $4,000 in house-related payments. And...my job that always demands more.
The rat race wheel is lubricated and spinning ferociously.
I always knew the system I was a part of was...off. And even though my mom was a successful entrepreneur she somehow got sucked into the dominant story and said go college, get a job, blah, blah, blah.
That's what I did and currently have a role as a Sales Manager and I have near maxed out my energy, pay, and potential where I work.
I'm overleveraged and bleeding money each month (luckily have about a year of savings), so the way I see it I have a few options:
1. Try to climb the corporate ladder and get a higher paying Sales Manager or Software Sales position (my wife's desire).
2. Continue working, streamline my processes, and build a Fastlane Business. (my desire)
3. Switch role and build simultaneously? All things are possible.
Either way, it's on like Donkey Kong because the current path leads to financial death.
I'd love to hear from you, especially if you've built a business as a busy professional or you've are a family man/woman who built a business with all the baggage of "living the American Dream" (mortgage, car debt, demanding job, etc.). Drop a line. Say hello.
